What kind of vehicle do you drive/own?

1967 MG Midget MkIII and looking for a good MGA.
Also a restored Jaguar XJ6 Series II.

Usually ride the left one, took me about 2800 miles in 7 months.... Chain and brakes wear off pretty fast, got to get my 3rd chain now, but the mileage is still excellent!

The right one is my fathers 2nd bike, Royal Enfield Bullet 500 Standard, built 2004 in India, when we make a tour together, I ride that one, only 22 bhp, but torque is good, and the sound and vibrations are thrilling, 500ccm single cylinder four stroke engine. Exhaust pipe is a bit shorter, and a bit more open, than the original one, cruises best at about 70mph, but goes up to 100mph, with a different gear ratio for lower rpm, that´s the point when the needle on the speedometer hits the stop....

You must ride a lot off-road Herr Mugel. I put 3,000 to 4,000iles on my mt. bike with road tires per year and I might have to change a rear tire or braske pads for wear, but my drive train (chain, front rings, and derailleur cogs) will hold up 2 to 3 years usually. That's one reason I switched from ridding a road bike daily to a mt. bike daily, the road bike was eating out my pocketbook changing chains, front rings, rear cogs, repairing flat tires (I would average one every three weeks on a road bike, maybe one a year on a mt. bike).

But with the cost of food going up, I wouldn't say I am exactly saving money, food is a cyclit's fuel and if you ride like you, Huub, and I ride, you need to have lots of fuel! :d

I almost only drive on-road, I ride it to work and back 15 miles every day, and if I ride in my free time, I usually do on road tours, too.... But there may be a difference in quality with those parts, the better chain I took last time was just 30€, maybe there are better ones out there... And another fact is weather, I used it all the way through winter, at -10°C and more, during rain, ice and snow... I didn´t see my inner front ring for a week, as it was totally covered with snow, had to use a lighter to get the chain and rear shifting system moving at all. I oil the chain quite often, but still I think that they might not be up to that....

I owned (not for very long!) a rather nice Twin Cam 'A'.
It leaked oil from everywhere including the welsh plugs, and had a huge appetite for nothing but 100 Octane!
Handled good, the brakes were great and those sexy alloy wheels were a plus, but anything over 6000RPM and I'd get sweaty palms!
In retrospect, I'd own one today, the one and only post TF 'G' worth having ................. IMHO.
Now, a TF1500 with a good XPEG engine is another thing.

1994 Jeep Cherokee. Straight out of the Detroit "Iron Works", back when cars were made out of steel and built to last! got 210,000 miles on it and it just started to leak oil. Replaced the ORIGINAL alternator last month!(note: life span for a alternator in Michigan is 6-8 years due to salt corrosion)
 
1995 Ford SVT Cobra: CHP 331 w/ NOVI 200 supercharger (about 700hp)
it's for sale so I can start my new project.


2004 Ford SVT lightning: bone stock engine, roush suspension. Runs 12.7sec quarter miles.


The lightning is my daily driver, and the cobra is my toy. The pics show the cobra with a few unpainted body parts.
 
I miss riding my bike, (my pedal bike that is).. Good fun. In my younger days, I had a bike with special bits all over it. Loved going for 'quick races' through the neighborhood, (2 or 3 laps, depending how I could keep up with the exertian).

Only problem was occasionally meeting cars in corners..

What fun though.


No beautiful green countrysides over here, but some awesome neighborhoods.

Well I finally own the Sephia on the first post of this topic and the many things I want to do to it are endless:woot:Attached is a pic of how I want my car to look like, minus the paint job as I want to get it repainted in the same colors.

Amazingly reliable little cars, those KIAs. I have a 96 Sephia with 216,000 miles on it wih no MAJOR repairs needed. Uses about a quart of oil every 2-3 months (leaks, not burns). Still get around 30 in town and 35-40 on the open road. And that little 5 speed is QUICK for such a small motor...
 
My better half is taking delivery of her 'Surgical Consultant's Car' next week ......... she 'might', just 'might' let me use on 'special' days!

Not bad. Believe it or not, this is actually my first car. I always had to rely on public transportation to get around or have friends drive me around. When I lived in Delaware, I failed the license test 14 times:kilroy: While here in Florida I passed it after 3 tries:woot:Now I don't have to worry about leaving the house early to catch the first bus of the day or hitch rides with friends...and I am only 26 with my first car:amen:
 
OMG. Am I the only Corvette owner in the forum??

The wife drives a 2000 Chevy Impala LS, and my daily driver is a 1996 Chevy S-10 SS.

When the weather is decent, my ride is the white one in the picture - a 1974 Corvette roadster.

We've had the Corvette since 1983 and in earlier years we competed in autocrosses and shows, and have done many road tours and parades. Now its just for fun.

Actually I guess it´s just plain envy..., at least in my case...! I´d like to try one of those, the plane and the car!
