This archive contains files to create a model of the Westland Widgeon for FS9 & FSXpo.
The British Air Ministry in the 1920's sponsored a competition for the development of a two-seat light aircraft. Several manufacturers including Westland designed aircraft for the competition.
The aircraft modelled here, the Westland Widgeon III, was first built in 1927. The Widgeon was unusual for a British design with its parasol wing layout unlike the majority with their biplane design.
Its performance was compatible with other light aircraft of the period, i.e slow but safe.
