There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.
If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.
Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

You mean the flight-slide-rule thing? Absolutely! We're trying to make the navigation a little more difficult than following the red line on the GPS. I initially wanted to outlaw drift gauges, and groud speed gauges as well, but decided at the last minute that might be pushing it a bit!![]()
Yep, that thing! I am probably going to participate if I don't suddenly end up with a big assignment for school.
Dang, that's a pretty Beast. Is that the Wolfi SB2C?
Oh great ... donuts and coffee on the carriers ... GI beans and "K" rations on the AAF aircraft ... [that GI isn't short for Government Issue either] ...
When will I ever learn?
Any piston engine powered aircraft that was placed into operational service before 1 July 1944 is eligible for the event. “Operational service” means the aircraft was assigned to an operational squadron, even if that squadron hadn’t participated in combat operations by the cutoff date of 1 July 1944.
Does this mean the type, or the variant and even production block within a type? (I'm sure you know which plane I'm thinking of flying :mixedsmi: )

It is meant to apply to major models. For example, the P-51H cannot play, but other models of the P-51, which were available, can. If the P-38J-15 was in production by the 1 July cutoff, but not the J-25, then any J model Lightning is good.![]()
