    Just when you think you have everything running some what better...

    You get a message from the Hosting company. Short story they need to move us to a new server. I have been working with them to plan a good date for all concerned. Here is what we have come up with as a schedule.

    1. November 4th 17:00 -5UTC shut off the forums and start backup proceedures. During this time there will be no access to the forums or the Resource Section.
    2. November 5th Continue with Backups and download same until complete.
    3. November 6th 7:00 turn over server to hosting company to move system to new server
    4. November 7th - 8th restore backups and upgrade forum software.

    If all goes well we should be back online on November 8th.

    To keep you updated we will post updates on AVSIM forums.

A Lockheed "Rounder"

Got the Lodestar back in the hanger trying to sort out exactly how the nose top, sides and nose cap all are mapped out together. It's been giving me fits trying to line up a stripe between all three to where it looks good. Also working on one of my all time favorite propliner paint schemes, 1950s white tail BOAC.

Matson is on hold as I'm trying to find a good clear pic of the winged logo on the rear of the plane. I might have to get creative with that one.

Canadian Pacific is in the hanger as well needing a bit more reference on the colors for the 1940s bare metal scheme. I've got an idea of what I think they are, but not sure.

I will always make time for Milton and the SOH family... Projects here make me proud of the community we have, and the chance to work with Milton, the freeware god of flightsim was too special for words. Thanks Milton :) You put up with me and allowed me to help, and your models rock :D

Paint kit for the PV-1/Ventura coming shortly, need to tidy a few things and it should be up tomorrow, and a set of plain bare metal base textures with it as I know some of you like that or need it for psp etc.
 
Just an update folks, a vc texture update will be coming, there was a resolution snafu, I've sent new files to Milton, so we will be making a change to the package for download.
 
While I'm waiting on the Ventura update, I've been somewhat busy with the Lodestars.

Just finished this one and have to package it up. A fictional privately owned one, NC11482.

One of the guys made a comment about how no one was doing privately owned Lodestars, so I think I'll head in that direction for a while.....

Hi Julesdr

I'm creating a French Air Force Lodestar for you. Will take a few days to finish as I've not yet released a FSX lodestar but as all my textures are created as 2048*2048 it shouldn't take too long.

Thanks for the "catch" Rachael on the PV-1 Ventura release. I am also making a few other mods based on comments and PM's so give me a day or two to make the mods and test them before uploading.

As you were folks ... no big shakes. :)
 
Just uploaded Lodestar NC11482.

Now to make a set of white master textures so the non-airliner civil Lodestars can start rolling through the paint booth.
