Here she is, made by the now-famous teaming of Milviz and FSD. Remember, these are representative of a beta being tested, and not of the final product, though I have a feeling that these betas are good enough for most as a final product.

:ernae:

Extraordinary metal portrayal, if I do say so myself :)

YEEE-HAWWW!! Been wondering what's up with the bolt? Just a question, repectfully asked: Did 38's really sit that nose high? I've never seen one first hand, I just honestly don't know?

I'm no P-38 expert, but when I saw the Red Bull P-38 that's exactly how it looked.

Very nice looking Lightning. The framework looks just right.
Only question is why are the SCR-522 radios painted white? They're always black. I saw one once that had olive drab paint but had been done with a brush over the black paint.
Those things kept a lot of Hams busy for many a year. They were crystal controlled and could be used up to 10 Meters. Good reliable transceiver.

That metal looks 1000000000000000000000000000000x better than before!

Also, the age-old question: What scenery??

Deeeelicious. The Lightning is one of my favorite birds of all time, and definitely my fave WWII fighter. I've been following this one for a while, and it's great to see it drawing near to completion. Thanks for the pics!

Love it! my Favorite movie was made around this plane, and then Remade about water bombing .. anyone know what im talking about?

Anyway I gotta laugh at helldiver...... why are they white, they're always black.... Cause I saw one once.... hahahahahah

Just in case you don't know... The premise is based on the 1943 movie A Guy Named Joe and follows the same basic plot line, The remake??? "Always" But a Guy named Joe was WAY better cause it has this plane in it, and well it was in black and white, its always better in black and white.
