A2A B-17 Video

Txnetcop, Gibbage has spotted what he perceives to be a problem - why should he not point it out ? Yes, people have the option of buying the product, and equally people have the option of agreeing or disagreeing with his observations.

WOW!...Talk about a real small world. I am also from the area, Greece NY, and have attended every Wings of Eagles and Historical Aircraft Group shows at Geneseo. I'll never forget the year at Geneseo when they had all the current flying B-17's in attendence, must of been 9 or 10 of them. I am also very familiar with Drum Corps Associates that GypsyBaron mentioned. I used to march in a junior corps from Batavia, Mighty Saint Joes. I also marched and taught The Rochester Crusaders, and spent 6 years with The Empire Statesmen as M&M instructor and drum major. Hmmm not one, but two things in common....LOL
I remember that airshow. what year was that? do you remember the skyraider that was at one of the Wings of Eagles airshow?

OK Paul fair question here is why?

The one on the A2A B-17 is very flat and rather lifeless. Way too low polgon for current standards in my openion. I have been modeling aircraft for 15 years and have never modeled one with a flat leading and trailing edge. Any of the clients I work for would of rejected it. Even there own logo shows a nice curvy blade.

This is unnecessary! Now how do you suppose this comment would be received by A2A? They monitor this forum and so far they have shown some class!

Never have I seen another developer criticizing your work, not because there hasn't been anything to criticize...it's just bad form...so I would stop now if I were you. Sometimes discretion is the better part of valor!

Thats just the point, im not a developer. Im just an artist, and I have seen plenty of other artist's comment on other people's work. Its called critique. Its something we must all accept to improve our own work, and its something that I not only like, but ask for. Look back at my post's, and you will see I have commented a lot on other people's work, and almost all positive. I should have as much of a right as any other user to critique things, just as people have the right to critique my own work. I agree that bashing the SU P-38 when I had my own P-38 releasing soon was over the line, and I appologized for it, but this is not the case.

Also, if you have a problem with me, please PM me. Its rather bad form to openly bash a user and take a thread off topic, dont you think? Sometimes discretion IS the better aprt of valor.

My question is, how well received is all the comments in the Alphasim thread? Its a fine line your walking, to allow negitive feedback about some developers, but not others.

If my comment at the end was over the line, I appologize. Again, I was just trying to express my professional openion.

Dang fine video by Cody too. :ernae:

I gotta have it, even though it is more airplane than I can handle, but hey, so is the P-47. Repaint Kit included I am sure. Man that looks so real.

Kevin how close do you have to come to being banned before you learn? You have been here before-remember? I have no problem with you pointing out a problem, it's how you do that. It seems beyond you to "get it.!" Listen to who is talking about "bad form." If it wasn't so tragic it would be funny. What I have a problem with is your absolute arrogance, when you have no reason to be arrogant. I don't doubt your expertise. So you're an artist...great shown some kind humility when pointing out an issue to another dev. They also have revenue to consider when bringing out a product just like you do!

This is a ridiculous comment:

Sorry. txnetcop seems rather adimit about having it out in the thread instead of through a PM.

I think we have covered enough ground on this Kevn.I would stop now if I were you! Now back to the B-17 video!

Make that at least THREE!

St. Joe's snare...1954 to 1959, along with Larry Darch and Gary Ellis! And Sully is still the director!
I also marched with Joey Pero's dad and uncle back then.

I'll be at DCA this September again. I've marched with the SF Renegades in the Honor Guard
the past two DCA finals and will again this year.

We are looking forward to the Empire Statesmen making their first trip to the west coast this summer as well!

Paul

And for those anxious for the A2A B-17....patience is a virtue :)

I'm sure it will be worth the wait.

Just a little help with your spelling.:wavey:

I can see the spelling mistakes but even after you have shown the real blade vs the modeled blade I can't see the difference.

I think that if you look, you can see it. However, it needs to be said that I think that this has gotten out of hand on all sides...

Please, let's all keep our heads on and our mouths firmly shut.

In all fairness to Kevin I can see the error and it probably will be corrected. He was right in my opinion.

What I think is really cool about this bird is that no matter how many copies they sell, each owner will have a unique B-17 that has it's own quirks and maintenance problems based on how and where they fly it.

"This is my B-17, there are many like it, but this one is mine." This is the Accusim bird I have been waiting for since Accusim came into the world

It would be cool if it got dirty if you didn't wash it. And bugs would collect on the windows!

You're entitled to your opinion! It changes NOTHING! That said I think we should get back on the subject

I also think it would cool to see some dirty paints. It did rain often enough I get goosebumps every time I see the video of this aircraft and the incredible features-HOT. Cody this video is way over the top Awesome

If you like it, buy it. ... I like the heck out of it!!! Is it released yet? :jump:
