A2A WOPIII P-47 Out Now!!!

Got it Lewis, thanks! I knew it was simple, I just had to reload while in game. I had his mask on before so I knew it worked but no matter what I tried he wounldn't put it on......well, except for the obvious pop-up menu! The sounds the pilot makes are a great addition! I means something rather than just hearing your sim-pilot breathing in your ear like Darth Vader! All his grunting and gasping make you become one with the force (plane) so you have to be on your toes!........alright, enough of the Star Wars references!:hand:

I am Stiz

It is still a work in progress but should have it done by tomorrow I hope. RAF 73 Operational Training Unit, Egypt.

Okay, I bought it ! Send all my mail to the doghouse ! Between getting the new PC, REX, a couple of FSX add-ons, etc....I'm gonna be there for awhile, BUT, I'll be flying in style ! :woot:

Now if I can just carve out some time to actually get the new PC setup and all the goodies installed ! :faint:

This fantastic bird is spooky real...during a short training hop out of RAF Halesworth (thanks, IanP!), I "jumped" out of the cockpit to admire her on a fly-by. As she smoothly purred past me, she suddenly popped a small puff of smoke as a cylinder backfired! I kid you not.

I guiltily jumped back into the saddle to check all of the gauges, temps, rpms, etc...all was fine, and I completed the hop with a barely acceptable landing back at base. Maintenance still rates the engine as "excellent"...phew!

I suspect she was just showing off...nice work, A2A.:applause:

OK, Comrades, are you ready ?

... I used some Soviet colour swatch. Perhaps I will create some default, not 100% accurate scheme, since I don't have good sources for the Soviet Jugs. Yes, there is one, called formerly "Knight of Pythias", but it was D-10 version, not the 20/22/23.

"she suddenly popped a small puff of smoke"

Yes, it's nice to see these things noticed. Just like the real engine, occassionally you will get a skip or puff. As the engine takes on wear and buildup, you will likely see more of that.

Scott.

If you liked that wait until you have an engine fire! I haven't been that excited flying in a long time! Lucky for me I'd just taken off so I dropped my tanks and belly flopped her; I walked away! Very fun!!
