Just when you think you have everything running some what better...

You get a message from the Hosting company. Short story they need to move us to a new server. I have been working with them to plan a good date for all concerned. Here is what we have come up with as a schedule.

    1. November 4th 17:00 -5UTC shut off the forums and start backup proceedures. During this time there will be no access to the forums or the Resource Section.
    2. November 5th Continue with Backups and download same until complete.
    3. November 6th 7:00 turn over server to hosting company to move system to new server
    4. November 7th - 8th restore backups and upgrade forum software.

If all goes well we should be back online on November 8th.

To keep you updated we will post updates on AVSIM forums.

    Thank you for your support.

AH working on C-46 Commando

I've seen Tinker Belle in person 3 times now. A beautiful aircraft! Incidentally my late Father got to fly on a C-46 during his time in the Air Force (he also got to fly on a C-47, C-54, and C-124). Seeing a C-46 up close for the first time was impressive (the size and power of the aircraft). Here's a good video of Tinker Belle on a takeoff run which the sight & sound should fuel even more excitement about the AH model.

Oh man - FSX/P3D addons don't touch my wallet at all these days, but I'll be making an exception for this one for absolute sure.

Good on you, AH.

By looking these soldiers figures, I wonder how difficult would be for paratrooper droppables
ability to be added...
New nothing about this plane until now...

Chris,

There are some freeware paratrooper effect files that are installed as smoke effects in flyable aircraft like this one where you can drop them wherever you like.

I've only used one in FS9 AI cargo aircraft as a light effect where it takes a bit of tinkering with the timing to get the paratroopers to drop when you want them to.

That's just baz mucking about. The soldiers added around 300,000 triangles to the model for the renders. Probably not ( aint ) going to happen :adoration:

Maybe AH can get in contact with Manfred Jahn and Jan Visser, as their team was able to create dropping paratroopers in their highly recommended C-47.

Just a thought :encouragement:

A few pics to keep people going...:engel016:

Thankyou. We're now at work on the VC. The exterior line up is looking like Military, Passenger conversion (multi-window) and Cargo.
