The RCAF version of the Albatross - does anyone know if it has been released yet? And if so, does anyone know where it might be posted?

Sorry,must ask again because of my Trim-problem.
I deleted the Albatross and reinstalled her---but the same.
Is the real aircraft so hard to handle?
Think,i`ve trimmed her but she climbs and descends every few minutes.
That`s no joy to fly.

Hello kaputtnix - if you want, try the following - copy the .air-file from the default goose of fsx and rename it. It is not the best Trick but could be a solution for you.

Hi Fireball,
thx,tried this,but doesn`t work.
The Goose flies without problems.
When i turn to the left or to the right with the Albatross,
the aircraft sinks like any other aircraft,if you don`t trim it,right.
The Albatross in this moment starts sinking or climbing like crazy and doesn`t
come back into her old position before turning to one side.
Never seen such thing before.
Made a new download from AlphaSim,but the same.

Now it works with the airfile from the Goose.
Made a little mistake.
But this cannot be the last solution.
Don`t know,what`s wrong but i hope,it will be fixed.

I have the trim issue too. The bird is almost 'unflyable' it's standard setup.

Also, is there no Alphasim forum? All I can find are broken links:-(

Is there a manual with the installation? All I've found so far is a check list.

I'm having the issue...

....as well. All you seem to do when you are flying is chase the trism.

I think we will have to wait to the changed .air-file that Shane Olguin is working on. All I can say is, that she needs a lot of input during flight - Throttle, Prop, Mix and Trim - but she is an old lady without all those modern "wireless"-things. I like her and hope that the new .air-file solves all your problems.

Boy. me and my posting too quickly. I didnt see the post about Shane rebuilding the air file.. Thats cool.. Thats very cool.. I still think he was possible rushed a bit too much on her, but thats just my opinion. From what i've seen, the plane has the potential forbeing an extremely fine aircraft to fly and i believe Shane can make her do it.. We'll see what happens ..

Not yet. I had to redo the panel-lines as they didn't match very well on the control surfaces, also i'm polishing the metal and working with the specular mapping. You can see how wrong the panel lines look here:

Hi Dirk,
i hope very much,that the upcoming airfile wil work.
Like i said,the trim-problem is not influenced by me.
I don`t change speed,don`t press any knob----do nothing,
but she does it.
And yes,i understand that she is an old aircraft with all the lovely behaviours,means,that you always have to do a bit while flying and i love this.
BTW--thanks for your great paints.
