AS F-4 Phantom

After a dreadfully long period without Phantoms, we are now being slapped around choice portions of our anatomies with Phantoms! I'm a happy camper indeed!

In anticipation, I've made sure to download Pack 3 already!

I received the permissions so all is good... and have just submitted the 'first' panel [the last one done - don't ask]...
It's the single radar ver in Pack 3 aka F4-M or FGR... ARS4 Radar included [thanks, Dietmar].

Meanwhile I've just revisited the RF4-E 2-'radar' panel of Pack 3, making a new RALT for it....it'll be the next one to upload...;)

Not entirely certain whether the RALT goes to 1000 or 10,000 ....has conflicting units on the face...so coded it to 1000.

I may have to load every individual model/vc to check, but what I've done [so far] is an F4-B for pack 1, F4-E for pack 2 and both the RF4-E [2 scopes] and the F4-M/FGR of the RAF for pack 3....as some of the models' VCs are 2 radar style....models 1,4,6 and 9 ...the others being singles.

It's all a bit 'confusing' as the packs have had revisions/updates over time...;)

If there are more specifically different VCs modelled [and I find them] I'll do reworks for them too...;)

First one I'll upload will be the 'M' [as it's most recent/complete]...;)

I'm pretty sure I followed the installation instructions to the letter, but my F4M cockpits don't look remotely as "hi-res" as yours, and I seem to be missing some gauges, and buttons for the ARS4.

I suspect there may be something wrong with the included "Phantom IIM.cab", it doesn't seem to contain the right files.
 
Oh....drat and blast....it's compiled the panel folder, not the phantom IIM subfolder.

I'll have to re-up a fix. My fault for doing it in the wee small....;)
 
I've recompiled and re-upped [and downloaded and checked] so it'll be OK now...;)

The 'wrong' cab has all my 'special' stuff...masks, alphas, etc and the home-grown gauges and effects...so missing that means you get a virtual dud of a panel bitmap...no way to turn on radars, etc...aqnd only a couple of 'default' gauges.

Fear not....won't happen again.....the next cab is correctly compiled [I checked]...;)

I may be user error (very likely!). :)

I can't get the ARS4 radar panel to do anything at all - other than display.
Everything else is fine.

The panel has a 'power' button...a toggle...towards the left....you need to turn it on first...then select various functions...;)

The ARS4 does indeed work perfectly once you turn it on ...

Thank again Jafo, I now fly in an awesome cockpit.

In the upload in a subfolder in the panel folder is one called 'docs'....which ingeniously has things called 'docs' in it.. There's a sub-subfolder called 'ARS4'......



Meanwhile....the twin radar vers in Pack 3 is ready for upload....and I'm back looking into finalizing what I'd done for pack 2 ....;)
 
F4-E from Pack2 wasn't quite right...am redoing it.
It's the square-ish panel-visor ver....found a better photo...and am applying it to both the 2D and VC - lots to do...;)

It's the 'other one' for Pack 3 ... for the model/s with the twin radars... essentially the RF4-E version.

Panel originated from a photograph so is hopefully 'fair-dinkum'...;)

Utilizes two of Dietmar's Radars...buth the ARS4 and the GenericRadar v1.
This time I made sure my cabs have the right contents [it helps].
Doc files are included, as are reference photos used.

Anyone know of a suitable RR Spey Soundset for F-4M/FGR.2??? I think the soundset provided is General Electric for F4J(UK).

Works excellent right out of the box Jafo, two scopes and all! :)

One tiny issue, in the VC is a thin black line across the top of the front canopy, hope you can see it on my screenshot:
