[Ask] How to change Me163_599 / Me163B cockpit?

out of a pure curiosity I took a look into the SOH CFS3 Airplane database, if there is some J8M/Ki-200 Shusui for download already... surprisingly it is, but ... a huh!!! I just wonder what for stuff can people release public.
anyway those downloadable things contents something which was probably meant like a standard Komet cpit aswell :)

a very very quick Komet -> Shusui "conversion" :)
note: the canopy frame is just a pure paint attempt on the original Komet canopy mesh. to make the interiror more like Shusui looking, Ive replaced the armored glass item aswell :)

would be something like this enough for a simple J8M1/Ki-200 solution?

When do you think version3.0 for cfs3 will be available for download ?
well, I wish it were be achieved in few weeks. I have to finish the german gauge texture repaints and neeeds to tweak it with geckos flight model.

I still I am undecided, if to release the CFS3 Komet add-on including all the 10 german skins, or if to give for download each skin separately downloadable (to let decide the user to download which skin he likes only).

solution A (all in one pack): sofar my personal CFS3 Komet folder is a single me_163b aircraft folder with all the skins placed here, which means the single aircraft.cfg includes all the 10 [fltsim.x] slot definitions, and there is all the m3d and xdp 001, 002, 003 etc. stuff placed aswell.

solution B1 (standalone skins depending on a main aircraft stuff): this means user will need to have the basic airplane package installed including all the sounds to be able to fly the another chosen airplane skin pack.

solution B2 (standalone skins indepedent on any other aircraft stuff): each skin will be a complete aircraft stuff package. this means a lot of same file stuff will include the CFS3 game in case of all skin downloads...

Yep, perfect!
ok :) this is the actual solution which didnt took me a lot of "blood", but the cpit could be a bit more "japanish" looking yet. my small wish is try to take the default CFS3 gmax SDK mesh gauge sources (P-47 or Ju-88) and apply some japan gauge textures there :)

due the different common texture logic this "enhanced" Komet skin repaint is a fully standalone J8M1 (Ki 200) CFS3 airplane pack.

I would go for solution A, users can easely make standalones from this file if they nned it.
