    Just when you think you have everything running some what better...

    You get a message from the Hosting company. Short story they need to move us to a new server. I have been working with them to plan a good date for all concerned. Here is what we have come up with as a schedule.

    1. November 4th 17:00 -5UTC shut off the forums and start backup proceedures. During this time there will be no access to the forums or the Resource Section.
    2. November 5th Continue with Backups and download same until complete.
    3. November 6th 7:00 turn over server to hosting company to move system to new server
    4. November 7th - 8th restore backups and upgrade forum software.

    If all goes well we should be back online on November 8th.

    To keep you updated we will post updates on AVSIM forums.

With Hotfix 1.05 the Legends GT collection is improved in detail.
Looks as if a TVR might be added soon, the folder is included in the fix but it's empty.

I really dislike the real series however, all the promises made a few years ago seem to have fallen by the wayside.
The grids are minuscule (12 cars on a good day!) and while they might pick up next season they need to run at the Super Car rounds to get a following.

We really are too small a country to dilute the motorsport 'Gene Pool', a couple of years ago Formula 4 faded away, Formula Ford is struggling with thin grids, while the so-called 'Trans Am' series is another
oddball moneypit sucking up finical resources.

Fortunately the European touring car format is gaining a healthy following, good fields, good racing and cars that people can relate to.
Decades ago we ran Formula Pacific as our 'Gold Star' series, compatible with the New Zealand and US series, good racing and plenty of international competition with reasonably cost effective machinery.
Perhaps Australia should take a serious look at Formula 3, it would make sense to standardise our open wheel racing with the 'Internationals'.

Back to simming: I'll have another look at the S5000 mod, 'Buy Australian' is something I try to do.
