Hey guys,

Hooraw also had these concerns, so I'm going to list them here...

I have a problem with your first BoB revised Capaign mission. My setup says it can't find "WF_C_Crates" with the trailing (Type 4), and asks to replace with an A/C with a Spit name. Any Ideas. I looked in Middlenames and Object_DP and only one entry each file.

Can you give me a clue of how to alter the panel level as it looks to high in "AH Spit mk1a" , and doesn't line up with wide open gunsight or shooting level.

Hi Rami, I have Free Flight, Mission Builder, and Quick Combat working fine. It's when I try to fly missions/campaigns that I get the following message:

[Mission file error]
error=Unable to init unit 9182
title=August 1940 - Trouble lies off of Cornwall
filename=C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Combat Flight Simulator 2\CAMPAIGNS\August 1940 1

I have tried several from the British and several from the German campaings. No luck. When I manually installed I just droped the mission/campaign files into their corresponding folders in the game.

I have removed the Japanese A/C and ships, but have everything working properly after this was done. Don't think this would cause a problem with missions in the ETO?

I'll keep working on it, let me know if you have any ideas.

This is not on you, this on me. I somehow forgot to include the .dp file for Bismarck13'w 94mm AA gun. Hence why you're getting the error message. This is one of the many problems I am working on correcting this evening.

Rami, if you are still trying to lighten the dp load in BoF, don't forget you can remove the CFS1 buildings (unless you used them for some reason), as well as the American vehicles. :untroubled:

I actually did make some cuts, reducing the amount of ETO buildings that I included from Gius' pack, because I only used seven of them. But I am not actually using any CFS1 objects, so that's a great thought, but doesn't help in this case.

Because all of the scenery is incorporated into GSL or missions, they actually do generate .cdp files.

I did a final count this afternoon before zipping them up; with Lindsay's objects, plus the stock weapons and stock objects included in the objects_dp folder, the total is 1,428 objects, so that keeps us about 50 or so objects below the limit. :very_drunk:

I went back to the older, non-widescreen panel for the Spitfire Mk. Ia. The tracers now go straight through the pipper. As soon as you let me know which mission it is, I can look at the crate issue. Then we (hopefully) should be all set.

I re-ran My ETO and the crate problem disappeared. So where do you get the fix for the panel?

Technically, yes, but you may run into problems doing that. The missions do, in most cases overwrite the old ones, and the new GSL effectively overwrites any old versions. The problem you'll likely run into is the object count for the objects_dp folder. This package uses a lot of building materials for the GSL and mission work, and we had to do some creative editing to get the object count low enough in this final release to avoid having "failure to initialize" errors.

You can see the issues we have with previous posts in this thread.

As far as my leg is concerned, I had a rough couple of days from the alternative materials they put on my leg on Monday because they were out of what they usually have, so I have been in some considerable discomfort the last couple of days. But I am feeling better this evening.

I will approach the build accordingly. Might just have a BOB only. Have plenty of HD space.

You would think the hospital would have appropriate medicines in stock.

My wife had a serious cdif (Clostridium Difficile) infection a number of years ago and only one antibiotic would treat it. I called and ran all over three counties here in the Houston area to pharmacies and hospitals. None had it!. Finally begged M.D. Anderson Cancer Center for enough to treat her. They told me that the manufacturers sometimes only made enough for what they though would sell that year and wouldn't make another "batch" until next year. :redfire:

The Battle of France stuff we are currently working on will be directly compatible with BoB, the only difference is that you'll be on the other side of the moat. :very_drunk:

Actually, the place I go to get my bandage changed is more like an outpatient clinic. :encouragement:

When i try to initialize it, a screen comes up that says "Microsoft Combat flight Simulator 2 RAF Battle for France" with a Hurricane taking off and then CTD!

I am doing another fresh install with ETO scenery and see what happens.

I can't even imagine why you're getting this kind of error. I'm beginning to have nightmares about this release with the name "RussBoB" floating through them. :dizzy:

Lol. I'm sure I still have a couple of missions from beta testing the rework he started, it never got much further. They are superfluous now though.
