No Dice,

Captain Kurt thankfully sent me what I was looking for, and I made sure to keep a compressed and a non-compressed backup of it for future needs. :ernaehrung004:

I do not understand your problem.

Didn't a VERY NICE man give you both of the CFS2 .iso files several years ago?

Have you forgotten how to burn them to CD?

Do you still have a problem??

Dirty,

I always have a problem. :costumed-smiley-034

Yes, you did send them to me, but I cannot find the disc I burned, nor could I find the .iso files. :banghead: I live in a house with four kids under the age of ten, and stuff disappears all the time. It's called life, buddy.

This has now been revolved, so enjoy your Maple Leafs in the playoffs! :encouragement:

Progress report...

Good evening.

So far, so good...tested the aircraft packs, and the only thing slightly awry are two missing wingracks for one of the aircraft included.

Moving on...

Hello again,

I don't know if this is good news or bad news...but everything is working almost perfectly on this end. I didn't use one of my current installs, I used a new one, and literally started from scratch.

I went in the following order....

Battle of Britain Ia - Two missing weapons. (Corrected)

Battle of Britain 1b - No issues.

Battle of Britain II - One object missing (good to know, can correct)

Total object count - 1,537 objects. (Including all stock objects)

Total ship count - 104 (Including all stock ships)

Total aircraft count - 44 (Including the 19 stock CFS2 aircraft)

The only modifications made were the removal of 95 non-essential .dp files from RJ's train set, that are not required. I will make that modification tomorrow, as well as include the German weapons and the lighthouse.

I will take a very close look at the readme to make sure I am extremely clear about the instructions.

Some things I know are common errors....

1) Using GSLman to add to the GSL file.

2) When adding to the scenery.cfg file, making sure to replace the "xx" notations with the next sequential numbers in your scenery.cfg file...(12, 13, 14, etc.)

3) Making sure to install Lindsay Watt's objects as well as Tango's Bf-110 and Collin's ships.

4) I also revamped the UIRES screens to use just three....Ajax's German and Italian UIRES, and Captain Kurt's RAF package.

Other than those changes, which I will make tomorrow, I'm out, because with those very minor hiccups, everything's working fine-and-dandy on this end.

Good morning,

Before re-uploading the packages, I went through & looked over the readme instructions once again. The biggest trip-up for a lot of people is the EXTRAS folder, so I highlighted and underlined the explanation for more clarity. In short, this folder is not needed, they are included in that folder based on instructions found in the readmes of the various pieces complied for this package.

Once you run the installer, you can toss that folder out entirely if you don't feeling like sorting through it or it confuses you.

The scenery / campaign package in this new installer is about 15-20mb smaller than before; I eliminated some excess files, and I also reduced the number of required objects by about 100 thanks to Kdriver's observations about Robert John's railroad package.

Consequently, you can now run the installer without having to make the accommodation of a separate OBJECTS_DP folder. :encouragement:

I also made sure this time to include Captain Kurt's RAF UIRES package with the Battle of Britain splash and start screens.

There was also a generic lighthouse that was missing, which has now been included, and two missing wingracks for the Fiat G-50.

With those corrections, she is working completely normally, and I will be happy to answer any further questions and/or problems with this, but I am now completely confident that there is nothing inherently afoul now with the packages themselves.

Hey Rami :wavey: just wanted to say a big thank you for yours and all those involved work on this add-on! Late to the party as usual I've only just managed to get cfs2 working on Windows 10.

This installed very easily and works flawlessly. Love it.

Cheers! :ernaehrung004:

Pat,

Thanks! I also wanted to give you a heads up that I did a campaign package for the Balkans involving your avatar and namesake, and am currently working on the Battle of France. Hewman100 is my primary researcher, with contributions from UncleTgt as well.

I know you have considerable expertise on the subject...currently I am completing the last few missions for 20 May. If you would like to become involved in the project and become a beta tester, please let me know. I can make auto-installer packages available.

Ditto (Thanks Rami)

It’s long, long overdue but let me second the above praise. Thank you Rami for all you’ve done. And Bob with an auto-installer? Gotta play this one – must see TV.

Jim,

That's because it is not under my name; it was the collective work of several people, so accordingly, it is listed under the username "CFS2 BoB Team."

If worse comes to worst, click on the "campaigns" link in my signature and download it off of my Box.net site.

No Dice,

It's not new...Pat Pattle dredged up an old thread. The last update was on 04/12/2017.

Aha. I thought there was another update but you (Rami) just updated the existing files with a note. I have the April 2017 install in my files:applause:

BoB Error

Rami and guys,

When I attempt to fly the BoB campaign I keep getting an error on the screen which continually stops flight and keeps the mission from proceeding.

"Filelist.dat error on the list but not available on the remote 'scenedb/weapons/scenery/ ai' "

I have in all my years in CFS2 NEVER seen this error. Once I make it to the coast of the channel it is so frequent I cannot fly.

Guidance?

Lee,

I have never seen that...:jawdrop:

...but at least the data you posted narrows it to the scenedb\weapons\scenery folder. Did you try deleting the filelist.dat file in the offending folder? :dizzy:

Yeppers, then looked for anything AI in the bgl files.
No Joy

I found it.
There was a bgl named "ai.bombs.bgl"

The first period between ai and bombs was the problem.

Rami's BoB Campaign Question

I know this has been discussed a long, loooonnnnnngggggg time ago, and I cannot remember the fix.....

When I load my ETO CFS2 with Rami's BoB Campaign it keeps giving me the error that the B25 Mitchell cannot be found.
It was the stock, no mod B25.

I put a panel in it, B25 sound in it, and made sure all of the names in Model folder, Aircraft.cfg, air file, and DP are the exact same name.
It still gives me the error.

The campaign starts fine unless I need the Do-17Z2, which the sim also says is missing, though I went through it with the necessary attention to detail.
I used Morton's utility to make sure all of my mission and campaign aircraft load properly.
I used Jonesoft QC Editor to make sure all aircraft are properly loaded.

Guidance?

Devildog73,

Is this a specific mission or missions? Is the Dornier available in free flight?
