Berijew BE-200 Altair

Hi,

Seems Berijew is the German spelling.
In all languages .. Beriev .. still .. Beriev. (maybe not in different languages like russian or chinese)
How germans are speeling Tupolev or Antonov or Boeing :)
Beriev is a brand name so usually you keep it as this.
BTW .. thank's for the sound link.

Thinks i'll give her a spin trial in Yellowknife's Water Aerodome to Hay River Aerodome then Diavek. This critter might make a good Buffalo or First Air aircraft.

Smoothie, you have an A-40 project? Woot! :russia: It's actually the A-40 the Russians sent to New Zealand back in 2000. Stunning aircraft, really like something straight out of Thunderbirds. I reckon NZ should have bought a fleet of em to replace our aging P3 Orions, but I suppose those Russian engines are a put-off. I dont think they succeeded in selling it to anyone at all. Look forward to seeing yours when it's good 'n ready.

yeah i have an A-40 W.I.P. gonna take a while yet, starting her from scratch with what i've learnt so far on my EE Lightning...

i believe the HAF/Hellenic Government has it's eyes on the Be-200 to replace the CL-215 fleet...

I just asked a couple of weeks ago if there was a freeware one of these and POP like magic here it is. Some values hint that some tweaking will be necessary to make her sit and fly right. Can't wait to get started!!!

Yup. Didn't need much though, they did a nice job. Gave it a little more sense of mass, sits and handles a little better in the drink, adjusted the panel so going from 2D to VC doesn't look like you suddenly stood up. Couple more things yet... Anyone know if when stable on glide slope with flaps and gear down what the pitch should be? Slight nose up, down, neutral?

That vid plus a few more helped with the water parts. It now squats to pick up water at about 80. Don't know if this is accurate but it works. It's really nice with a good water spray effect. I still would like to know about conventional landing attitude. For now I'm assuming it glides with at neutral pitch. Should be done by tomorrow night unless work drains me too much.

Hi

I have downloaded the Beriev Be-200 Altair from Flightsim.com

For FS9 and for FSX.

But for the FSX version, there is no vcockpit

One thing that does not work for me is the water rudder, I think there are a few things left out of the water rudder contact line. Does it work for anyone else?

I had to tweak the water rudder to get it to work, try replacing contact point 9 with this line:
point.9 = 5, -51.54, 0, -20.6, 1800, 0, 0, 30, 0, 0, 0.3, 1, 1, 1, 0, 0

Heres an early WIP of a Russian Navy Grey scheme, still working on the tail and roof areas and havent touched the wings yet.

Thought I was done until I found some good flight specs-DOH! So now I'm working to have it flying close to correct airspeeds and capabilities. Max speed 430 mph, cruise 350, landing 124, minimum dirty 98, take off 140.
