Bry`s Winston Churchill C-54B CCAA

Safe arrival at SERB Riobamba . Flew at 14500 direct to Latacunga VOR , then direct to Ambato NDB, which "threaded" perfectly through the mountains, then on to Riobamba in good weather for a steep descent and perfect silent landing on RWY 23 ,I wasn`t sure that I was on ground only for the decay in speed from the brakes :)

Safe arrival at SETM . Got a bit hairy along the . Scraped over a ridge at 14800 ft with feet to spare :) then the weather turnrd nasty and I saw my first lightning and dark clouds , these passed away and had a nice circle to land at Rwy 6 skirting a hill whist turning on finals

Nice flying Bry. :salute: I really start to sweat when the clouds close in. Those screenshots from the cockpit make me very nervous.

Continue on SETM-SPJE . Thanks Jeff , yep the weather seems to be turning for the worse :( For those who know me well I`m about to enter my adopted country courtesy of my beautiful Chica . I`ve spent alot of time in this simply stunning country and I hope her mountains don`t bite me too hard ( the country not my misses` :) ) The weather can bite hard at this time of year around here . Onwards

Perfect flight , excellent approach , thought I`d dropped the gear but apparently not and guess who did not check it was down and locked :( part of my automatic pre-landing checks and I didn`t do it :( Been a long day at work .

Taking off again , The first peruvian bite

Safe at SPJE . Made sure gear was down and locked this time .

Safe at SPJB . Thanks Jeff . I was concerned about this one . Probably the blame for complacency on the previous leg :) Flew direct to Cajamarca NDB then onwards to cajabamba passing through clouds but viz was good at airport .

A little story : I actually flew (as a passenger) to cajamarca from Lima 2 years ago in a Fairchild Metroliner which proceeded to have an engine fire and shutdown whilst negotiating the surrounding peaks before diving for the airport . Lets say it was a stimulating flight to say the least . Excellent landing , these locals obviously well practised on single engine landings at high altitude airfields ;) Fire truck chasing us down the runway to douse the flames :) And we went up to Cajabamba but I have no recollection of an airfield there :)

Nice pictures of cajabamba. Your mesh looks just like my FSGenesis but you have a very different landclass. I have the airid FSX brown while yours is nice and green.

Safe arrival at SPHZ . Fun flight , Terrain direct much higher than allowed max altitude so skimmed the lower snowfields and went round the mountains. Strong airfield NDB and good viz made for a fun , confident approach . Now we are in the Andes proper . Time for sleep , screenies tomorrow , it`s bedtime for me

The SceneryTech South American Landclass I use is pleasing on the eye but probably not a perfect rendition of the surroundings

Departing SPHZ-SPNC . This is going to be a toughy and took quite a bit of planning

Duenna shows a yellow box for weather but I am using real-world updated every 15mins ?? maybe cos I practiced with clear . but is realworld now

Safe arrival at SPNC . That went very well . Took off RWY16 and flew down the valley to Huarez town to gain much needed altitude , then headed east using mountain peaks for navigation , along with the Huanuco NDB . Flew heading for about 18 mins keeping a little mountain in the distance as ref point and came perfectly to the gully which was vital to descend into Huanuco valley and the City . Had an autogen issue with trees on the runway so eased her down on the grass alongside :)
