C-47 (FS9) uploaded

Actually, the texture sheets for the FS9 and FSX aircraft are exactly the same - with the difference that they are mirrored horizontally, and that the FSX textures are in DXT format and twice the size of the FS9 ones...

But isn't the model file different? There wouldn't be much point to converting the textures if the model didn't work in FS9. Or would it...?

Yes, I am trying to get the ski-equipped variants including Que Sera converted to FS9 status.

Here is FS9 Dakota "KK138" fitted with skis -

Fantastic, Sir:applause: Getting the wheeled version onto a glacier ain't the easiest thing I've ever tried -- and succeeded:icon_lol:

Good thought, let's see:

Erps, forgot to flip the alpha! Still, it shows the problem here...alpha is waay too bright.
Let's see if dropping in the alpha from the USAAF paint is right:

Much better...some issues trying to match it though.
And, I think there's a small texture mapping problem, too.

Think I'll wait for the "Official" FS9 repaint, it's going to be a lot better than my ham-handed muddling, for sure.

I CANNOT believe SOMEONE hasn't come up with a utility to batch-convert dds to bmp! :censored:

Not sure about that way but someone has made a batch file for going from BMP to DDS and it works great. I use it a lot when converting FS9 repaints to FSX aircraft with the same mapping. I converted the C-47 RAF Transport Command repaint last week as there isn't one for FSX and it worked great.

Something new~
