Canberra Bomber Power pack out now

Steve,

I loved to hear this!
You're ace!

I am very happy! I fly with him constantly,
Meanwhile, looking at the background literature on how Canberra color paint
But now I'm going to sleep, because tomorrow I'm on duty, the fire department! :salute:

Thank you very much!

Regards,

Zsolt

Looks lovely again Steve, will definitely pick this pack up tomorrow! :salute:

And I would love to see this model (B1 Mk.8 XM264) too in the future:

Ahh, good old XM264, what a classic. I believe this might be the only preserved B(I).8 in Europe, which is quite amazing and quite tragic considering the role they played in the Cold War. Total waste that we let so many of our classic machines end up in the scrapyard. But, yes, if fighter canopy packs do indeed get built, rest assured 264 will be among the release schemes! Thanks for your support, Ferry.

No problem Steve! I stopped buying Fs9-only aircraft some time ago, but for this aircraft and this price I don't mind making an exception. Downloading right now!
BTW Should you need (Or just want) bigger versions of the photos above just let me know and I'll mail them to you.

:)

Well, very nice to know these models have brought you back to the Rebel Alliance from the Dark Side (even if only temporarily). I know FSX has all the bells and whistles as I am constantly reminded, but personally speaking I think there is still plenty of life in 9, for those of us with lesser systems capable of running the beast that is X. I do need to upgrade next year for that if no other reason!

Those photos are lovely, but I think that size and res is fine for now, many thanks for the offer and I will duly contact you if I need to zoom in as it were!

Steve

I've tried to register on the support forum but have not yet received my e mail. I am really enjoying the Bomber Power pack but have a slight problem with the B16. When I load this version it loads with the aircraft in a pool of flames. The pods still fire in flight, has anyone else had this?

Thank YOU gentlemen, for helping support Flying Stations! I really hope you enjoy this new pack - it's definitely a fun one to fly. The next pack should be more to your taste Zsolts - expect the T.4, T.11, T.17 and much-loved TT.18 with working Rushton target to make an appearance :)

Oh..goody..can I put a request in for a proper camouflaged T.17..not one of them 'hemp'
pink ones!!

Hello Harry,

sorry to hear you are having problems with both the forum and B.16. If you PM me your email, I will pre-register you on it and you'll be up and running straight away. As for the B.16 in a pool of flames, this is not good. The rocket effects are set on the smoke systems key, so unless for some reason this is repeating over and over again on aircraft load and promptly blowing away the area it sits in, I have no idea what's causing it. This is the first I've heard of such a problem too.
Once we get you up on the forum we'll troubleshoot this some more.

T.17

Pete, something like this you mean?

And sorry, as a lad at Wyton gate I saw a lot of hemp (pink to you) T.17s and fell in love with 'em, so one of the two release paints is deffo going to be WD955 'Echo Mike' with rip roaring red fin!!! The next pack on deck is the 'Tugs and Trainers' pack, including T.4, T.11/19, T.17 and TT.18 so not too long to go now.

A very good question, one I have been asked frequently! It's tricky. We could do a port-over fairly easily, i.e making sure some of the mousable VC items work and the canopy glass issue gets resolved, and that would be OK and we might well do that. Thing is, without the poly limits that FS9 has, you could make a much higher poly model with higher res and much more detailed VC.

There has been a lot of interest in the fighter canopy versions, so perhaps we'll do those as FSX native as a complete new build, and do port-overs on the existing FS9 range for those that want them.

In the meantime, here are a few more sneak previews of some of the next pack:

That'll do nicely!! Incidentally this T.17 ---->

had semi-gloss black painted landing gear, inside of gear bays, inside of gear doors and airbrake 'fingers'; (high speed silver being reserved for inside of flaps only); but there again it did start out in life as a B2, and was trials airframe for the B(I)6 gunpack t'boot :bump:

Wish I could find the picture now of the early T.17 scheme of high speed silver all-over
with the 'monkey nose' radomes in black and the 3-colour roundels.

The problem is, in this case, the landing gear struts on my models are not mapped to an actual texture, but set with a white gloss material, so it will be impossible to make these black short of exporting a whole black dedicated model. Since the majority of others are white I'll have to leave it at that for the rest.

Incidentally, all the T.11/T.19s I have seen had the black inner workings that you mentioned, so THAT model will come shipped with black paint accordingly.

Silver T.17s...I KNEW I had come across them somewhere but was starting to think it was a dream. Photo-hunt on, see if you can dig some up and I'll do the same. For the record I think I'm going to downsize Echo Mike's pinky roundels; seems I have a photo of her in late life dirty phase where they are the smaller 36" versions on upper wing at least.

Looking great on the next pack.

Still haven't been able totest the bomber power yet, I've been battling gremlins. Get FS working, go to bed, next day, it's not working again....go figure.

I live in fear of the same problems mate, but on a bigger scale where my entire PC goes down and I lose the source files! I have some backups but the hassle it would take to rebuild would be ridiculous. I'm sure we've all been there many a time :( Well good luck getting FS back up again, at least you have some tasty Cranberries to enjoy when you do.

Can't believe I took this long to unpack this lot!
Great stuff Steve

May have been mentioned elsewhere...I find the nose-wheel steering animation doesn't match the track the aircraft follows in a turn, maybe something to tweak for a future pack?
And, of course, looking forward to the next instalment!
