Canberra Exports: Fire & Ice pack out now

You know Sean, I came this close to doing a SAAF T.4 for inclusion in the Fire and Ice pack, then at the last minute I canned it. I still have the model mind you, so if you are interested in it, let me know and we can work something out. The other alternative is I can simply release some SAAF repaints for the RAF T.4 from the Tugs and Trainers pack instead.

Hi Steve, the name is Craig :)

The biggest issue for me, is that as an FSX user, I have tried out the free B.2 variant, and many of the switches, including the weaponry ones, do not work. I have tried adjusting the view, but that does not work. Also I do not get the classic Canberra smoke. I have FSX Accel on a Windows 7 computer. I am sure though, we can still come to some form of agreement. A 2-d panel for the weaponry and other VC only stuff would be great. :)

EDIT: Also, neither the jettison-able canopy nor ejector seats work for me.......

Hi Craig (apologies on getting your name wrong, it was a long day yesterday),

yes, regretfully, those are all known areas that do not work in FSX, all I can say is they were built for FS9 native, and I was amazed that they even appeared in X! A port-over to X was planned last year, but our X guys were, and are, fully engaged in the Blackburn Buccanneer and have not yet had time for it. Really the majority of this work would be changing the syntax to get the custom anims to work for X.

One of the most impressive bombing runs I ever witnessed in Viet Nam when a pair of RAAF Canberras unloaded in perfect harmony along both sides of the road we request strike support on.
Wing-tip ordnance mountings put to very effective use.
And congrats on the 'Berra', I'll be needing the lot.

Cheers for that, Wombat, always nice to hear any Canberra-related story, especially from the folks whom they actually helped on the ground. I've been in touch with a former Canberra nav who did a lot of these bombings, and his stories are superb. I have no end of respect for these crews and their precision. Daylight, low or high level, straight or dive. The stats speak for themselves, as does the loss rate. Hats off to 2 Sqn and also the US B-57 squadrons.

Oh, and not forgetting the FACs in their 0-1s and 0-2s - must have taken guts to spot those targets, well not to mention folk like yourself calling it from the ground!
