Just when you think you have everything running some what better...

You get a message from the Hosting company. Short story they need to move us to a new server. I have been working with them to plan a good date for all concerned. Here is what we have come up with as a schedule.

    1. November 4th 17:00 -5UTC shut off the forums and start backup proceedures. During this time there will be no access to the forums or the Resource Section.
    2. November 5th Continue with Backups and download same until complete.
    3. November 6th 7:00 turn over server to hosting company to move system to new server
    4. November 7th - 8th restore backups and upgrade forum software.

If all goes well we should be back online on November 8th.

To keep you updated we will post updates on AVSIM forums.

    Thank you for your support.

Classics Hangar Klemm L 25 Developement

The Carpenters are almost finished in both the pilot's and copilot's compartment, now waiting for the plumbers to do their work. :)

Yeah, kinda! :)
That's while taxying the Klemm KL 25 D-EJOL back to the hangar after recording the mighty 85hp Hirth HM60 R2 aircooled inline engine and all other relevant sounds to disk.
It's been actually quite a struggle to come that far.
Back in June 2021 I took the 700 km raid down to Southern Germany for the first time.
Plan was to take photos and record the sounds but due to unstable weather we couldn't move the aircraft out of the hangar so no sound recordings for me.
The next 16 month weren't blessed with luck either but three weeks ago weather was fine and so were all other circumstances.
Long story short, I had a great time down there with the guys of the local flying club Luftsportgemeinschaft Hanns Klemm e.V. and now I have all my sounds in the box.

So guys, it's getting a bit more crowded in the cockpit, there are not sooo many parts missing anymore.
There is nothing to hide cables and wires behind in this box since the fuselage fairing is just 1.6 millimeters thick, everything runs visibly on the cockpit walls.

One of my favorites in FSX, take my money Mathias. I'm a little guy, that cockpit will fit just fine.:jump:

Thanks much, guys!
Cees, there was a Klemm L25 originally made for FS98 and ported to 2000/2002 and maybe FS2004 IIRC, but none for FSX that I'd know of.
I think Cazzie refers to our old FSX crates in general (thanks for that, Sir!).

No, My poor old brain has to reserve memory on external cards too. It was FS9, not FSX. I had the FS2002 also. Brain flatulence. I just have a thing for two-seat tandem trainers. My brother says I have a fetish for amphibian aircraft too. I do.

It's getting crowded now in the office. Not much stuff left to do, placards, some fittings and a few nails here and there, polishing materials and next we can move on to the MSFS config blues, oh well.

BTW guys, as you know I've been away for a couple of years. It doesn't seem en vogue anymore amongst devs to show progress screenshots.
Why is that?

It looks exceptional, Mathias. It's rare these days to see a developer with a real passion for the aircraft they make, but it's easy to see this is the case in your work. I've always admired your attention to detail/desire at getting things right/accurate. I love the look of all of the woodwork and the mechanical hardware. Everything looks phenomenal, and I especially like the looks of what I assume to be a fuel wobble/pressure pump, and the unique look and detail in the control stick and rudder bar and brakes. I'm really looking forward to seeing this completed!
