It is indeed possible, but I have not started work on the clouds themselves. It is planned but it will take some time. The weather files in the package don't actually change the appearance of the clouds, just what types of clouds are present and the color of the horizon fog. I chose the colors mainly because of the effect the have on the water color. It is also hard to blend the horizon to the clouds both under and over them. I will keep it in mind though when I do the clouds and see what I can do. Glad people like it! Thanks for the kind words.

Nice shots! On looking closely I noticed something with the water that is worth pointing out. The current weather has an affect on the water color, hence why I included weather files in the package. You may find when flying with stock or other third party weather conditions selected that you get different water colors, usually a more blue color, or sometimes darker. My weather files give a more greyish color intended to look like the English Chanel. So it's something you may want to be aware of depending how you want your water to look and to know that you can change the water appearance by changing the weather to suit your purposes and location.

Are the new weather files used when flying campaigns?
I'm not sure how that works.....

Correction,
I've noticed that it doesn't work well with other sea files with the new effect files.
So you better add the new sea files in all of the \WMScenery\Sea\ folders

Is it possible to edit some file to be able to use old sea files with calm,heavy, light and medium sea waves together with your new effect files?
Personally I think the old greyish sea color looks more like the North Sea than your slightly greenish color...

It looks like another edition will be warranted based on some of these suggestions and a few tweaks I'm making. For a quick fix you can copy just the first four water files from my package into the other Sea folders in WM Scenery. This will ensure proper interaction of the rest of the water textures with the shaders.xml. This is very important as depending on how the texture was made you can get some bizzarre results. I can give you no guarantee on the color though, as the final color of the water is a combination the color of the last 16 water texture files, one of the first four of those files, the color of the sky/haze based on current weather, and the color of the underlying terrain. So you may yet get a more grey result by changing out textures or you may not, it's pretty hard to tell.

I've checked the campaign weather.

In your Application Data\Microsoft\CFS3 ETO Expansion_________\Weather folder there is a _cmpweather.xml file.

Since I'm using WMScenery managing the weather I checked the WMScenery\Weather\EuropeanTheatre where there are these folders:

ETGood
ETHeavy
ETLight
ETMedium
ETPrecip
ETVariable

Each folder contain a _cmpweather.xml file that are copied to your Application Data\Microsoft\CFS3 ETO Expansion_________\Weather.
Below is an example from one of a WMScenery _cmpweather.xml file where you get dynamic weather changes along the flight (this is only a short extract, the complete content is much longer).

So one of your files could be renamed _cmpweather.xml and be placed in the Weather folder but you'll lose the dynamic weather effects.
It's also possible to copy content from your various weather files and place them in the apropriate place in a WMScenery _cmpweather.xml file to get new dynamic weather files.

What I would do is to replace a couple values in the WM weather file so you can keep the dynamic weather. You will want to replace the "skyboxCloudType" value and the first "fogColor" value in the file with the values from one of my files. I recommend using one with weather conditions similar to the weather file you are editing. So in this case, use values from one of the overcast or rainstorm files and you should get the desired results. If it still doesn't look quite right, you could try replacing all the "fogColor" values in the file, but I think the first one should be all you need.

That didn't work out very well. I got wrong sea colors and no waves....
To get the old sea files to work I had to edit the water section in the shaders.xml.

By the way which HDR Bloom dll version are you using?

Bummer, I guess it was worth a shot.

In the readme I included a link to the version I use, it's v0005. This version is older but allows for hardware anti-aliasing to be turned on, whereas I couldn't get it to work with later versions. As far as CFS3 is concerned I don't think the improvements in the later versions have much effect on it.
