My first choice would be the Avenger, but I think I've seen pics of a WIP already, so in that case, I'd be fine with the P-61.

i've been in this community now for a little while, and try as i might, i can never get the hang of understanding what it is people might want.. heck, I just read one post by one gentleman wanting a P-40E and i just spent over 2000 hours making the fde for one not too long ago.. :;sighs:;, But i recon his desires are not fully based around what i do ( crunch numbers ), and my own curiosity is no where near as detailed.. but what I'm wondering about is how much people would like one of three planes. the plane ( whichever one ) would be excruciatingly detailed, have an fde that was as absolutely exact and accurate as is possible in fsx, and be an accurate representation of the aircraft. The three planes i'm curiopus about are:
the P-61 Black Widow
The TBM Avenger
the hawker Sea fury.

If you were to pick onr of those three, which would it be??

I guess you are referring to me...actually I didn't realise the Iris P-40E was FSX native. I thought it was a port over.

I have had a quick look at it on the Iris web site. I appreciate that you have spent a lot of time on the FDE (2000hrs - wow thats a lot and the time developers spend on these models always amazes me! :applause:) and no doubt it is very good but the VC just does not do it for me BUT the price is very very good and you seem to get a lot for the money.

I am fussy bu...er and I am willing to pay extra for a P-40E (or N/M) with a Sibwings or Lotus quality VC (and a realistic FDE). I guess I am just spoiled by the quality from some developers. I would also pefer one in a RNZAF scheme (does the Iris one have a RNZAF scheme?)

As for the above aircraft my vote goes towards a Sea Fury.

'Nothing wrong with that at all.. Sides, i'm not 100% appy with the fde i did for that. it's good, but i could now do much better i think..

some people want high end, some dont. some people want all the bells and whistles, others find them superfluous.. it takes me that long because i have a memory issue, and i have to relearn what i'm doing on every plane i do.. otherwise i could do it in half the time, :) ..
 
Just as a note I LOVE the Iris P-40 (I got the "Aces of the Commonwealth" plane). A heck of a lot of fun to throw around the sky!

Oh - back to topic - Sea Fury or TBM!

How can a P-61 compare to a seafury? please give us a piston powerd ariel hotrod, one of the best piston fighter ever made, you could shoot down a mig-15 with it too...well I guess you could take your mother in law with in a P-61, so that might be a good reason to have one:mixedsmi:

What a piece of work, the top ten in piston fighters, and I would give $ for a top notch A2A or realaire payware model:bump:
