DH Sea Venom for FSX

Leif,
I'm only seeing the RAN scheme. There is only one texture folder and one cfg entry for the Aussie aircraft.

I could finally test it. It's really a nice addon. I also appreciate all the additionnal cameras for external view, just so cool.
However, this has to be the strangest canopy I've ever seen. Since I do not know anything about the history of the real aircraft, can anybody explain why there's one seat high and one low ? Why not both on the same height ?
(explanations like "it's british so it has to be ugly" will not be sufficient ;) )

The odd canopy is correct, the seating positions give the pilot a slightly raised view for carrier landings, whilst the observer (correct crew terminology for FAA nav/radar op in this aircraft) needed to be able to see the radar scope, which was lower down on the instrument panel. This arrangement led to the Sea Vixen, which had the observer sitting well below the pilot with no forward view at all.

The same seating arrangement was found in the A-6 Intruder. The B/N sat lower/a bit aft of the pilot. He had no flight controls to worry about so forward visibility wasn't an issue. It was his job to watch the radar. The seat needed to be aft and lower to allow using the hood on the radar scope.

Yes, but the canopy of the intruder was symetric, unlike this Sea Venom. Quite a strange technical choice they made....

Of course. It's British.
As an example, I can point you at the fact that the guns on the EE Lightning F.6 were sited immediately in front of a fuel tank.
Only the British could come up with a design like that.
