About as easy as it gets....[but I still got the flag too big]...

I used to see this one at Essendon in the 70's [YMEN] ....always looked 'clean'....just plain silver..;)

I had a look and did about 50 paints for version 2. I am not going to update all of them, if there are any specific ones you're after, let me know?

Two Classics

I was out flying around in my old red and white "Gooney Bird" and came up on this PT-17. I found the red and white paint at flightsim. This PT-17 is based at Douglas, Georgia. Douglas was the home of one of the many WWII pilot training bases in Georgia. There is a nice museum there. There is also a WWII C-47 based there along with about three more WWII aircraft being restored.

Beggars can't be choosers

Beggars can't be choosers. And those who can't shouldn't tell those who can. But...

I love the weathered look many of you are creating; after all, few of us can fly (in RL or sim) a spanking new aircraft, especially a 60+ year old Gooney Bird.

But to my eye the grime/wear/shading along rivet lines in most repaints is much too pronounced.

Indeed there are a couple of skins that I love but simply never fly because they just don't look realistic.

May I humbly, with hat in hand on bended knee, ask you wizards and magicians to google images of C-47s and DC-3, and look how their seams look--especially the ones that have been rode hard and put away wet.

The effect is very subtle.

Hey Joe, did you ever finish your NACA bird? If not, are you planning to upload it when you are done?
