No need for permissions from me ... this is an SOH project. You can upload them them as you would any other paints to our library. Just be sure to identify them as early temporary textures for the F7F.

Still working on the FM tuning. Having the rudder roll right for this plane is important, a factor that's implementation will vary with whether a person is using auto rudder, twistie stick or pedals.
On the fuel flow cruise front, throttling the -3 back to the 222 mph cruise at 10,000 ft gives almost exactly the no reserve range of 1,722 NM. Speed at 22,000 ft works out almost perfectly at 461 MPH, though the SL speed for this variant is still a snitch fast. This one will probably be the "racer" variant.
I have experimented with moving the eyepoint a small distance forward to improve the view out to the side. For the actual pilot, easy enough to crane his neck around and lean to the side, not so easy for the sim pilot!

That is sounding great Tom. Thank you for your continued due diligence on this FM. It's awesome that we come to expect the excellence you deliver. This should qualify well for the RTWR.
Some carrier ops feedback. The other night, I was so excited to fly with some of the new paints I jumped in the F7F (FSX) and headed for Michael Davies's USS Leyte using the moving AICarriers program, forgetting I needed to tweak the panel to use the RBCBO gauges in order to cat&trap.
Nice long floaty approach, hangin' out the wash, (tanks about 16% full) I touched down the main wheels at about 88 KIAS a little short between wires # 2 and 3 and only then realized there was no hook and cable working BUT the roll out with just brakes was so brief, I stopped right next to the conning tower without using any arresting gear!
Right! Without any trepidation - or catapult gear - I gunned her, applied a little rudder and rotated as she approache the bow. Suspect from reports here that as the flight modelling seems so accurate in other repsects, this bird might have had been a fairly good short field performer IRL.

Yes, I use the Leyte a lot also for Carrier practice. The -3 model does have a hook installed, both visually and operationally and does well in arrested landings.
The Tigercat is a good short field aircraft, as befits a carrier plane. It was intended for the Midway Class ships, but unusually for a Grumman, really wasn't up to the continued stress of carrier landings. Not a lot of lateral clearance on the Leyte and other Essex "boats".
Operationally there are some drawbacks to twin engine aircraft for shipboard operation. Failure of an engine on takeoff or approach below single engine out control speed is almost twice as likely with two of them....
A few more kinks to work out with the -3 and then to bring the other models up to that level for both FSX and FS9. There are some differences between FSX SP2 and Accel in engine modeling, which can make things a bit frustrating.
If the F7F was a bit big for the Essex ships, you can imagine the fun and games the "Banjo" and Panther pilots had on the straight decks!

Bridges of Toko-Ri had some good action sequences, of I believe Panthers. Low angle approach, dumped fuel and lots of drag to keep the engines spooled. Real Old Salt and I did a revamping of the AH Panther quite some time ago, but doing all of the carrier landings was always fun. I think I used the Big E...

I always felt that the Grumman "Cats" were a lethal bunch. The Tigercat was more than capable for any assignment that was given to it.
