SOH ADMINISTRATIONI'd settle for 3 or 4 slow revolutions of the prop before it spins up to MicroSoft's 500 rpm minimum for ignition.
Yeah, it works in FS9, how about a FSX version of the slow start?
I never got the energizer sound to work in FSX with the A-26. The starter will not crank unless the energizer is activated in FSX, but it made no sound and it seems to me the slow start gauge causes crashes in FSX.A-26 or F7F? Either way, that is a Doug Dawson question and request. I can ask.

The F7F did not use an inertia starter, although some restored F7F's might, so the energizer is not needed, just a gauge that causes the engine to crank slowly through 3 or 4 revolutions before upping it to the 500 rpm required for FlightSim to start the engine.
