F7F Tigercat SOH Project

I have to go out of town Sunday for a long day trip so will not be uploading the F7F WIP series until probably ~Wednesday.

F7F Tigercat SOH Project Test 2d panel

good morning friends

all the night I worked on the last touch to finish my first 2d panel for the Tigercat.
A lot of work was all the "writting" which is necessary for this panel.
It is a test to see also what must or can be done on the following panels to come.
It is fully operational. But has no second section for the radar operator nor functions needed for the tanker.
I have sended it this morning on the site for release
OK let's see if there will be any reactions about this panel and if there are some what they will be

Papi,

I have downloaded and reviewed you panel package. You really invested a lot of time and effort in this setup. I'm sure others will be greatly appreciative.

I have PM'd you with some recommendations.

Thank you Papi. :)

Papi,

There have been about 45 downloads of your panel work. You did a lot of nice work there.

I would appreciate it if you would implement my packaging recommendations to streamline it and add the copyright credits.
I would suggest replacing the existing package with your improved version as soon as possible.

I have uploaded the F7F series for painters. This package contains no liveries and no paint kit but does contain each of the models.

I have also uploaded the 2048 x 2048 paint templates for those who would like to get started.

Gman5259 will be providing a paint kit when it is ready and you may wish to hold your texture work off for that (and therefore the 2048 templates will not be needed).
However, you should be able to insert your work as layers in the paint kit and ultimately benefit from the Paint Kit.

F7F Package Series: http://www.sim-outhouse.net/downloads/SOHTeam/f7ffs9.zip

2048 Paint Templates: http://www.sim-outhouse.net/downloads/SOHTeam/F7FPaintTemplates.zip

The overall package likely needs some refinements or tweaking and that will come as we discover these things.

This package is setup for FS9. There are no FSX port-over changes folder.
The Flight Model is for FS9 and works differently than the FSX flight model.
The panels are setup for FS9 and will not work in FSX without modifications.

FSX'ers need to stay tuned to gman5250's progress on the native FSX project in the FSX forum.

Thanks for uploading the latest Tigercat WIP, Milton, I've been spending some time in the -1, first impressions so far.... :encouragement:

I know what you're thinking.... (Gee maybe he'll shut up about the Tigercat now since I uploaded the latest WIP version...) I may even try my hand at a paint scheme or two.

Yeah, us FSX'ers we keep waiting and waiting and waiting. I already put my credit card away. '-)

Not sure of your point dvj. You sound frustrated, disappointed, and cynical.

I am downloading maybe the final beta now to test the FSX native version. Gman5250 has been doing due diligence on the 5 different models to get them converted. It was no small task to take these models up several notches.

Of course it is freeware; no CC needed.

Thanks, Milton. I am continually amazed at the talent at SOH and it's given to the community as a gift. Simply amazing! :applause: :applause: :applause:

Hi Uncle Milton

First--->ignore the pushers wish all of them that they try it by themselves

Second-->tiny issue on the F7F .In the newest vesrion the gauge P-40E Drop TankVC( several entry's) is not FSX compatibel( as it is FS9 also not supposed to)-->causes CTD

Best regards

Roland

Thanks, but ...

Roland, and everyone,

This package is NOT for FSX as I stated above. There are many differences. I do not intend to release an FSX port over because of the native version that will be out very soon.

As I stated above:

"This package is setup for FS9. There [is] no FSX port-over changes folder.
The Flight Model is for FS9 and works differently than the FSX flight model.
The panels are setup for FS9 and will not work in FSX without modifications"

The FS9 package also includes a "slow start" setup which will not work in FSX.

If you want to fly the F7F in FSX, get the native version please.

Beer. Nuff said.

Hi Milt,
Well I had to do a complete FSX re-install due to MB issues, and I have lost a great many aircraft that I had. However I was able to save about half also. I'm getting my hangar re-populated again slowly but surely. So.........I got enough re-installed on my rig to do a test run in FSX/Accel today.........and the aircraft I picked???.....you guessed it, your old(er) F7F-3N project. Love this aircraft and it ported over just fine into my FSX/Accel, Vista 64 PC. Thanks again for great freeware VINTAGE aircraft!!!!

(BTW - I love the "Fast Cat" sound packs for this bird.....simply amazing!!!)

THE TIGERCATS ARE COMING!!!!

Thank you Sir. Since you are flying in FSX, you will likely be amazed at what's coming in the true native version. The -1 will be available soon, with the other variants following as they are wrapped finalized.

We should also have a paint kit for the FS9 version before long.
