Ah, time goes by. Remember "The Emperor's New Clothes"?
A couple of months back I responded to proclamations of "we are going to respect the legacy of flightsim.com" by noting if they were going to preserve the site I would think they'd like us to know who they are so we can thank them; by insisting on anonymity they could be planning on raping the site and don't want anyone to know who to blame. I hope I am wrong. Time will tell.
This infuriated those ...people.
Fast forward two months and remember their statement of respecting the legacy, etc.
'In less than two months you have dumped the flightsim store (sending those people scrambling for support of their purchases); announced your intentions of eliminating the libraries by shuffling them off to some anonymous third party who promises to host them in archive form ...as long as convenient; and changed everything else on the site except the name itself. The place now looks exactly like flightsim.to; exactly what did you respect? the domain name?' They also announced an automated system of removing threads/posts when five years old to keep the site "fresh". The only people being treated nicely are those showering mellifluous praise on the new owners, so remember to genuflect when you log in.
There is an old Arabian proverb, "The man who would speak the truth should have one foot in the stirrup".

From what have I been banned? There is no flightsim.com. LOL (FTR, I've been there since '98, haven't changed a bit, and never received any "points".)
BTW, someone posted a link to a youtube video of someone lamenting the probable loss of those libraries, a thirty year collection of files for all flight sims dating back to FS5 days. True, there are not a lot of folks downloading FS5 files, but they shouldn't just be tossed out.
