FlightSim Developers P38 Now Released

Edit: Just saw your post Gibbage about Tim sending out emails.

Thanks again! Diego

p.s. you guys are going to make me poor! With the upcoming F-15's, and F-22, man ;)

Yes. Thats the Error 1173 we thought we fixed. We are still trying to track it down to fix it, but at least the product will work fine once you exit. For people who are having problems downloading, please use the posted links.

I have tracked down the error 1173. It seems to be operating system oriented. I am uploading new installers now which should resolve that issue.

No time for screen shots, but it's mighty purty. :) Tons of detail, beautiful paints.

And it flies "warbirdy."

Win 7 RTM x64 here, just FYI.

If we got the error but all seems okay, any need to re-download/reinstall? Or is it okay?

It seems to be a Vista/Windows 7 issue. We cant find any errors in the final install. Everything is working fine. I say replace your installer once its updated so if you need to re-install you wont freak out about an odd error down the road. I dont see a need to re-install right away though.

That tells, "A valid license for the P38 could not be located on your system. Wee recommend you reistall the aircraft!"

Kind of hard to do when you can't install it in the first place. LOL

Which file were you trying to install? If you download the smaller installer and then the addon file it makes a difference which you run first. In this case you need to run the file FSDevelopersP38sps.exe before you run FSDevP38Ap.exe.

If this is not the case let me know. The aircraft installers do not expect a license to be installed previously and do not have that error programmed into them.

My modern red bull version causes FSX to stop responding. Whether it be loading it from the opening menu or in-game.

I also got that 1173 error.

Ok Firefox was the culprit, IE allowed me to purchase it just fine.

Another download issue, when going to the link provided on this thread the download file size is much smaller than what is specified on the page. As you might imagine if I try to run the executable s I get an error.

Gibbage I get a 122 error when using the installer.

Love those sounds DCC! Feels like old times flying around... now in HD!

Hey Gibby... I did try Shift-1 and it did work... seems like pilot setting is backwards... right now it is RED... show pilot GREEN hide pilot. Weird to me but then maybe that is how you guys did intend it.

Same error 122 upon execution of installer. Three downloads yielded three different sizes of
FSDevelopersP38aps.exe. error report sent. Help

Looking into it. Its possible that people are downloading as the new file is uploading. I will report back soon.

Confirmed. You guys are jumping the gun a little! Hehehe. Please wait about 30 mins and try again for the new file. IF you notice, every time you download it it gets a little bigger....
