Tim, I got the small installer to work, made sure all other programs were not running, and attempted to install the repaints. I got an error message informing me that it could not update because my original install is missing or corrupt. I have flown the planes, and I know they are there. What can I do to overcome this?

Dont have that prob on others. Do the textures look right on this?

Hi Gagit there are three levels of lighting representing the two kinds of lights in this aircraft and the knob on the right side of the lower panel controls them , the needles were coated with a paint that made them luminescent under the florescent lights ( the plane had an inverter for AC current ) , you can use the A key to rotate camera views to get at them or if you are on the ground pull back on the yolk, sorry i didn’t get back to you sooner but i found one of the bulbs was burnt out and needed to fix it first <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />

PS Quicksand, I think Tim has hit the sack , its been a long day but we will get everything fixed up ASAP

Thanks, Chuck.. Somehow, with good instructions from Tim, I got it going. If you are running Vista 64bit, you must go to the properties tabs on the installer, unblock it, run it in compatability mode for XP sp2, make sure ALL your intivirus and firewall stuff is turned off, and it will work. Thanks to FSD for wonderful customer service. I'm off for a short test hop, and then I gotta get some shut-eye. Thanks guys!:guinness::medals::icon29::applause:

A little off topic...but I just installed the YF-23 which I recieved (thanks again!) but I don't have any displays, i.e. no hud, MFD's, backup gauges, any help?

Thanks, Diego

The YF 23 was designed to work with Acceleration , that might be the problem , if you do have Accell its a licence issue as these models wont display their panels when it gets a licence error and we can get that rectified tomorrow.

Hi Gibbage

I have just recieved my email offering the Free YF-23. As I bought it ages ago i dont need a second one!! Thank you but can you please offer it to someone else who perhaps may have missed the offer deadline. :ernae:

I have got to say that i wish i had waited for the demo as I would have discovered the framerate V shadow issue.

I only handle the artwork and makin it look pirdy. Ill pass this onto Tim who handles the promo.

Well, I got it downloaded and took a test flight this evening. First impression: this is a fantastic piece of work! It looks great (but then again, you already know that from the other screenies posted), but I was happy to discover that frame rates are excellent as well. I'm not seeing any more of a hit with this plane than with the A2A Cub, which is very system-friendly.

From that initial flight, I now know that I have to do a bit more reading and practicing in order to get proficient with this bird. Good grief, it's fast! Maybe it's just because I've been spending so much time in the Cub lately. Anyway, thanks for a job well done.

Its weird as I get 40+ fps with the cub but hardly over 12 with this one.

Edit - sorry - i should say in all fairness that despite a very jittery flight i do think that the model is fantasic both inside and out - just a shame i cant fly it in full daylight.
