FR Super Cub Extreme for v5 Released

Looking forward to these.

In the meantime have been experimenting in v4.5 with some of the older textures with this new v5 version.
Require a new "sim=" line and edit of texture.cfg but otherwise seem to work okay.

And on a personal note, I've managed have ALL your Cub and L4 variations as fixtures in my various Sims, including almost all the repaints I could track down.
One of my genuine 'Go To' light flyers for any time or season.

Maybe this S.Cub could be a demo of incoming next version for v5 (payware)? :biggrin-new:
Id like to buy it. Just idea for such an add-on:

- improved sounds (switches, flaps, new sound of engine, open windows and wind ;> ect)
- gauges build in P3Dv5 SDK (I noticed small lag, perhaps they are from FSX time)
- more version of modern Super Cub (like Your "Ultra + SuperCub", floats, normal tires) with different VC also
- better gps: F1 gps integrity (GNS 450, GTN 650 or G500,600) so changes in VC
- PBR textures
- windshield A2A rain effect (free)

I would like to have modern Cub for P3Dv4.5 and 5. Just idea and ... wishes ; ).

And yes, for P3D only because for MFS we will have it (near similar version):


but when it happens is not known (maybe end of 2020 or beginning of 2021).

I'd like to know do you provide any work on this S.Cub still? Any chance for this?

I asked because I noticed strange issue in VR mode with this Cub. I know... its free addon from Your side (and TY! I very like all Cubs and no any modern model of Cub on market, just Yours :) ) so perhaps no any support here, especially for such a niche like VR user (so I can't expect too much :sentimental:). This issue probably applies of old gauges (not converted in 100% with SDK P3Dv4-5). I'll will check it deeper if You want. The result is that something here catches (if you are looking around in VC, something like "lag", very short fps drop but in VR its very visible) every few seconds which basically makes the model is unplaybe for VR users. I noticed this kind of issue only one time > in migration Mi-2 (Nemeth) from FS2004 to P3Dv4 (published here on SOH recently). Then I discovered that it was a problem of old gauges (so maybe here is the same issue). I know it will take Your time so it was just question about possibility of finding and solving this problem (if You want and You can). If not, it's a pity, but of course I will understand that. I'm just waiting if I have to start diagnosing this issue deeper for you. If You havent a time - I also appreciate it anyway. :wavey: NP.

Hi Yoyo. As I don't use VR, I don't think I can really be much help, unfortunately. As far as gauges go, you'll have to define what you mean by "old gauge." The variables used in the Cub gauge coding are the same as in the P3Dv5 SDK, and as far as I know xml and RPN still work the same way. The only things I can think of to try are to take out the 2D gauges if you're not going to use them, to see if that lowers the load. The only gauge coding that may be a little 'old' for P3D (which is still FSX at heart gauge-wise) could be the the "gps_295" GPS. Try cancelling that out as an experiment, and see what happens. I do know of one other user who uses VR with FR aircraft (although I don't know if they have the Cub), but haven't heard anything from him. Other than that, if I ever get lags (in non-VR use, of course), it's almost always related to scenery and something loading in the distance. Don't know if that helps!

Ok, after many test - with model is everything ok, no issue of any any gauge ect. I noticed the same on some of situation even with default airplanes.
It looks for me like its .... beta of Active Sky P3D and AntiVirus exlusion and / or ActiveSkyP3D injection so its totally differnt subject. Just for info :).
