Duckie is well ahead of me with that, i've still gotta add all the rivets etc... and yes you just know this is gonna take me a week at least :icon_lol: when it comes to me and Ellhnikh Polemikh Aeroporia...well.... need we say any more.... Nigel knows the wrath i can unleash on a quiet Greek area :icon_lol:

...he's not kidding, six years ago I bought an idyllic quite piece of heaven in the beautiful Halkidiki area of Northern Greece.
My nearest neighbour is nearly 1 km away and we're totally surrounded by nature.

Then 6 months ago I get chatting with this fella, Smoothie...before long, I realise he's one of the nicest people I've ever had the honour of getting to know. A true friend!

Then one day I happened to be explaining that I'd be offline for a while...leave you all in peace!

Next thing I know, I'm up to the eyeballs in HAF F-4's! Oh NO!!! Not repaints...Not new models for fsanything!
Real Mcoy HAF F-4's; often on the 'burn, usually at treetop altitude and always in twos!

Now they've started bringing their F-16 playmates for breakfast, lunch and Dinner!
The game? Catch me if you can...over Nigel's place.
Lately, they also take a nightcap!

My wife reckons if we're quiet enough they might decide to nest here too, lay eggs...cos my poor hens don't; thinking of putting some vallium into their corn. :icon_lol:


Now, as the man himself often says...back on subject; It looks like we're in for some exciting work from Duckie and Smoothie...looking forward to this Gentlemen! :salute:

Looks like my cunning plans working, there's some great looking repaints in the pipeline. The weather effect looks just right to me Smoothie, cant wait.

easy to see why i love the venerable Φαντάσμα, and if i recall HAF plans to keep 348MTA (Callsign 'Matia' - 'Eyes') active with the Phantom till 2020 and beyond if i recall, i know they certainly want to be the last phantom operator... :icon_lol:

2020, thats good to hear, there's no Greek or German F4's at Fairford this year, i was worrying i'd seen the last of them, the Germans a very close to retiring there's,
still, there's 4 weeks to go so you never know :jump:

Topnotch input from you guys, couldn't resist putting them up here.

Matt don't hold back on that weathering, really look at the grime on these birds. Colour variations too...note the 'browning' as opposed to grey in certain areas!

Those nose 'patches' and slightly highlighted panel areas make a differebce too!

Don;t rush either Matt...the only deadline is quality.

Ian, you're a real scource of inspiration to all of us! Bravo!
 
*Coughs* right then.... i've been really taking her down to the deck to make her dirty as well as telling the oiks to clamber all over her.... one things for sure..... the rate this is going i don't wanna be the crewman that has to wash it!
 
:salute: While Duckie and Smoothie are working their magic on this great aircraft, how can we push the realism still further?

Our partner; racartron's help would be great on stting thr lights up and I'd relly love to see something on getting some wing vapour effects too...I always end up making a mess of installing these things :icon_lol:

Smoothie knows that I 'professionally' recognize he's got pylon's of talent. Knew it from the start!
 
just so you think i haven't given up yet.... far from it..... i've been out all morning, first thing i did upon my return.... fired up photoshop and set back to work, theres no stopping me with HAF kit :icon_lol: just getting nose area done, then i work my way back and weather at the end.... saves me more time in the long run.... :icon_lol:

well at the moment i'm just drawing the camo on and adding some lighter and darker panels for a bit of depth, i expect camo to be done before i head to bed tonight and weathing to be done by tuesday.... at the latest, i'll keep y'all informed.... :salute:

oh you mean like this? as you can see still a long way to go plus i've hidden the weathering so as to not ruin the surprise at the end :icon_lol: just working on the camouflage at the moment, once thats done it's decals and weathering time! :icon_lol:

...you certainly know how to set the stage!

edit: forgot to ask; which pack of the 3 are the textures for? I noticed this morning that the pack 3 canopy has very superior reflections to those of pack 2.
