FS2004 Screenshots Here!!!

Thanks to the previous writers who gave me the idea. ))))))))))))))))))

I decided to arrange for myself a small training flight for GPS-free navigation.

Somewhere near Puerto Rico. I circle the islands from the north, keeping above the sea.
I'm an average navigator. I was blown about 15 miles off course after flying 600 miles with 4 turns.

And here it is, the target of the flight.

Nice!
Maybe give us the name of the aircraft? ( & paint)
Some of us may not recognize the plane.

Wow...

This is a Soviet (Russian) Ilyushin Il-38 maritime patrol aircraft (a military version of the IL-18 passenger airliner).
You can download it for free here

But attention! Russian is all there, as well as old Russian navigation devices.
This is a difficult aircraft to pilot. Only cold and dark is loaded. There are no some tooltips, but navigation and autopilot of the old types.

Good luck))))

Navigation bar on the right. Everything is working.

Nice, & appreciated.
Avsimsu does have some very original aircraft & scenery that cannot be found elsewhere.

Oh yeah. Mostly Russian, of course. But there are others.
I have been registered there since the 2000s as SkunsDonetskiy. But after changing the domain, I can only go there through the Tor browser.
Paradoxes of Russian everyday life. )))))))))))))))))))))
And for the last few weeks I haven't been able to get on their forum at all. Error 404.

Great screenies!

The IL-18 and IL-38 are both amazing Aircraft to fly in FS9… i allways loved both of em.
Also i do like that you’ve added the Shockwave lights there… Great Pictures… thanks for sharing.

In the case of flying in the vicinity of a US Carrier, i think you’ve got a warning, right?

Btw. the Scenery of Santiago de Cuba is from Taxi2Gate.

Cruising high above the Med, from Paphos, Cyprus to Heraklion, Greece.

(Yes I know, this is just a Wingview, nothing special but pretty boring… allthough i just wanted to share it anyways, as this is sometimes just a thing i do… Enjoying the Flight, having a look outside the Window and taking Pictures of Wingviews whilst I am flying and whilst the inflight lunch is served).

SoD, what water are you using in your IL-38 pics, as looks very good?

AB, I don't know about boring. I think for those of us who find all things aviation fascinating, looking out across a wing, maybe knowing/understanding a little of the physics, we all think.....that hasn't changed in millions of years, and it's all that's keeping us up here. A nice reminder pic.

Cheers

On the particular Leg i did here, LCPH - LGIR, there wouldn’t be a lot to see, out the window anyways… mostly Water, from Departure till Arrival… - sure i could’ve shared some more pictures from the Departure and / or Arrival (that may could’ve been a bit more interesting). Allthough, i was allready inflight and didn’t think about taking pictures or videos from the Departure… nor of the Arrivals… - Next Time :D

I’m sorry, but I’ll be able to answer your question only in 2–3 days, when I get back to my PC.
I can’t say from memory. I remember that they were installed separately, not as part of a package.
I finally redesigned my sim together about 7 years ago and now I’m just transferring it to my third PC along with the HDD. )))))

Ok SoD, yes I appreciate we all have installs with stuff from years ago, and it's difficult to remember what, when, where etc ha ha!

It looks very nice, so if you wouldn't mind giving it a go and seeing, many thanks.

Cheers

Airport Overview |
Heraklion, Nikos Kazantzakis Intl., Greece | LGIR / HER |

Few Airport Overview Pictures of my favorite Airport around the World... just because Landing there is special for me! It holds tons of Memories from the past, when my Grand Parents used to live in Crete. As a young Boy I’ve been there more often than anywhere else on earth…
Sat in that Restaurant in Heraklion Port countless times, just behind the Arriving and Leaving Ferries, chatting with the Waiter and listened to the very loud horns from the Ships…

Also i still remember a Name of one of those Ferries from Anek Lines which we allways chatted about…. its name was Arkadi or Αρκάδι in Greek Language… which unfortunately has allready been taken out of Service and has been scrapped meanwhile…

I also once had an adventure on Minoan Lines “Knossos Palace” Ferry… when I was onboard with my Grand Mother and we’ve sailed through a massive storm…

Yah, those times in Greece, were awesome times… love to remember those memories and keep them alive with the Sim.

Which is your Favorite Airport? Do you link any of your Memories to any particular Airport outthere?
