Just when you think you have everything running some what better...

You get a message from the Hosting company. Short story they need to move us to a new server. I have been working with them to plan a good date for all concerned. Here is what we have come up with as a schedule.

    1. November 4th 17:00 -5UTC shut off the forums and start backup proceedures. During this time there will be no access to the forums or the Resource Section.
    2. November 5th Continue with Backups and download same until complete.
    3. November 6th 7:00 turn over server to hosting company to move system to new server
    4. November 7th - 8th restore backups and upgrade forum software.

If all goes well we should be back online on November 8th.

To keep you updated we will post updates on AVSIM forums.

    Thank you for your support.

FSX Douglas C-117D Skytrooper

Thanks for the hu! Downloading now and hoping I'll be able to master the built-in failures:pop4:

Thanks for the HU! Yet another terrific aircraft to add to the collection.
Downloaded and a short flight to test and found a wonderful model to the
same high standard as Manfred's C47.

Thanks to all involved.:salute::salute::salute:

This is just beautiful :salute:

Just taking this baby ORBX PNW from PAKT to CYPR and enjoying every minute. I prefer pistons over turboprops, so this is even better than Basler BT-67. IMO this is the best "DC-3" for FSX so far.:jump:

And this is just beta release, so who knows what other we may get for this. Now, all the paint shop guys: get to work, please :wavey:

I love the way this is modeled. I even blew up my No.1 taking off from Cork Ire. Watch out for large pothole in Ireland. None less she is a delight and and B#tchier then my Wife lol. Just the way I like my Douglas.

I blew #1 taking off from Skiathos and #2 somehow while Turning onto finals for emergency.... hell knows how :icon_lol: better send out the salvage and dive teams to go fetch her.... while they work, i'll study the aircraft more (was a textbook ditching though and not too far from the shore!) first time in a long time i've had a laugh at my own stupidity in the Sim :icon_lol:

Excellent model! Just got done with her and no issues getting the engines started and managing them in flight. The only suggestion I have for the Dev team is a backdated VC, at least in terms of the panel/gauges. Otherwise, this is a classic.

You mean that all women won't react the way FK did?????????????????????????

:p

:icon_lol:

Hey! C'mon, you all had a moment when you realised this was out....

There is a total Squeeeee moment when you get that radial to bite first time.... *shiver*

Key to a girl's heart... radial engines.

That's not potholes in Cork, that's the bogs... Its why the locals are called Bogtrotters :D they're very 'local'.

And no dissing Ireland! My other half is Irish :D

So are there any interior passenger view avail?
Gotta see the no smoking sign and fasten seat belt sign light up
from the passengers perspective.

"And no dissing Ireland! My other half is Irish"

No dissing intended. I am half Iris descent limerick county wise. It's my Wife, she's Half Cuban blooded born-Irish Tip. county descent lol. With All the Cuban-Irish-Canuk-US blood in my house it's a brawling pub. One of these days I'd love to visit Ireland as a whole. Only been to N.Ireland and Dublin.

everytime i hear that there arent any poisonous snakes in Ireland,it makes me wish i WAS a real world pilot, because id load up modified C5M with a fire retardant type tank, only instead of retardant,id have rounded up all the Diamondback rattlers in my neighborhood and then made a nice long ,live snake drop all over Irelands wilds......BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.............
