My father was a Hull Technician on the USS Constellation and he remembers taking rides on the Seakings from the Constellation to the destroyers from 1976-1979. He also told me when they dropped him off at the destroyer they lowered him down by a winch on the Seaking because at that time their was no helipads on the destroyers.
