Yeah, EP122 hasn't changed ownership or anything, it is just that the owner has decided to bring it to the US. Dan Friedkin (Comanche Fighters) has owned it all along, since the restoration - Friedkin/Comanche Fighters owns six different flying Spitfires in all, with two Mk.1's (AR213 & X4650), two Mk.V's (EP122 & JG891), a Mk.IX (ML417) and a Mk.XIV (SM832). Up until last year, JG891, ML417 and SM832 have been based/flown in the US (located at Comanche Ranch, TX), while AR213, X4650 and EP122 have been based/flown in the UK (AR213 and X4650 in the care of The Fighter Collection at Duxford and EP122 in the care of the Biggin Hill Heritage Hangar). Friedkin's Mk.V JG891 suffered some damage back in July this past summer, when it went off the runway on landing during a fuel stop in Arizona. Since then, JG891 was shipped to England for repairs and is now re-registered to fly in Britain, where it will likely remain for the foreseeable future and flown in the UK following the completion of the repairs (likely in the care of the Biggin Hill Heritage Hangar). As such, there is a bit of a shuffle/swap being done, since now JG891 will be in the UK, Friedkin is having his other Mk.V, EP122, shipped to the US to be operated here.
