So far I have played only with the 2000C export version.
I get no kangaroo on landing, but sometimes a little nodding dog over 400kts.
I tinkered with the contact points and found these to suit my setup:

[contact_points]
static_pitch = 0
static_cg_height = 6.265
tailwheel_lock = 0
max_number_of_points = 8

point.0 = 1, 13.3, 0, -6.3, 1500, 0, 0.578, 37.62, 0.15, 1.9, 0.613, 1.5, 2, 0, 260, 260
point.1 = 1, -3.5, -4.167, -6.3, 1500, 1, 1.1, 0, 0.25, 2.5, 0.513, 3, 4, 2,260, 260
point.2 = 1, -3.5, 4.167, -6.3, 1500, 2, 1.1, 0, 0.25, 2.5, 0.513, 3, 4, 3,260, 260

Enjoyed 2 splendid days at the NATO 2009 Tiger Meet which is currently being held at Kleine Brogel, Belgium. IMHO the guys from Cambrai did a very good job on their tiger, maybe a nice idea for a repaint ?

The bouncing issue will be in the contact points I'm sure.
I tried a few FS9.cfg files and no bounce for me, despite flying it into the ground:[YOUTUBE]PqJe6cKOF30[/YOUTUBE]

Hi,

Good video.
Incredible how you go so fast to a stop point :)
In my case .. immediately I use the brakes the AC bounce more and more and the AC don't slow down.....
Mysteries of FS9 :)

Edited:

It's maybe just subjective .. but checking more your video (and images by images) seem's you don't have big displacement of the oleos (damping) like I have (see my video)
Maybe it's the point of view ?

Good Day

Yesterday I put on my test pilot orange flight suit and I made some taxis, fast running on runways, touch and gos, etc... with the GMax Mirage 2000D, 2000C and 2000E.

I think I found something about the

"Kangooroo Jumping On Landing Syndrome" ( KJOLS )

that affects this Mirage 2000 family :

1. There is no "KJOLS" with the twin seater Mirage 2000D

2. "KJOLS" affects only Single Seater Mirage 2000C and 2000E.

3. I then closely check the programming lines of the Aicraft.cgf
fliles of the "D" compared to the "C" and the "E".

4. Here is what I found on the cgf files of the two single seaters
and that I DO NOT FOUND on the twin seater "D" :

[brakes]
toe_brakes_scale=0.671407
parking_brake=1
[gear_warning_system]
gear_warning_available=0
pct_throttle_limit=0.000000
flap_limit_power=0.000000
flap_limit_idle=0.000000
[hydraulic_system]
normal_pressure=0.000000
[stall_warning]
type=1
[attitude_indicators]
attitude_indicator.0=1
[turn_indicators]
turn_indicator.0=1,0

5. I DELETE THESE 16 PROGRAMMING LINES on the "C" and "E" cgf files
and restart a full set of groung and flight testing with the two
single seaters.

6. NO MORE "KJOLS" on both 2000C and 2000D
Problem resolved

I am no FS programmer and I do not know at all the signification or usage of these deleted programing lines but if you delete them your "KJOLS" is cancelled and its not affecting any other fonctionnality on the aircraft.

The standard FS braking and turning abillity on the ground is still working perfectly.

Best regards

I give up on these, having managed to download everything but the last two aircraft I attempt to run the .exe file and get an error message followed by an exit from the file ........:banghead:
A real shame but I'll delete just these downloads and fly the KO Mirage F1.

You're not the only one who has given up on this, Wombat, I too am flying the KO Mirage F1, Even tho a bit dated... still an excellent flyer. There are also plenty of alternate Mirage aircraft out there for FS9, including Roland Laborie's excellent Mirage 2000's.
I am very disappointed that the GMAX Academy has chosen not to support IE for their new Mirage 2000 series. Firefox is a good browser but having spent over 30 years in the I.T Industry, I can honestly say that IE is also a very good browser and is used by nearly every major coropration because of that.
It's a shame that GMAX Academy makes thier newest package (which is outstanding, from what I have read and the screenshots I have seen), available to everyone except IE users.

If I am out of line, I aplolgise... but I had to get this off my chest :a1451:. That's my bit. I'm finished now.

I wonder what would happen if you only did the following in your single-seater aircraft.cfg:

[brakes]
//toe_brakes_scale=0.671407
parking_brake=1
[gear_warning_system]
gear_warning_available=0 (turned off)
pct_throttle_limit=0.000000
flap_limit_power=0.000000
flap_limit_idle=0.000000
[hydraulic_system]
normal_pressure=0.000000 (this doesn't look right)
[stall_warning]
type=1
[attitude_indicators]
attitude_indicator.0=1
[turn_indicators]
turn_indicator.0=1,0

Most of the above lines won't affect any tendency to 'bounce'.

[hydraulic_system]
normal_pressure=0.000000 (this doesn't look right)

Thought so. I've checked with all the available Mirage 2000 packages, and the section should read:

[hydraulic_system]
normal_pressure = 3000.0 //PSI
electric_pumps = 0 //no electric pumps
engine_map = 1,0,0,0 //pumps on Eng1, not 2,3,4

Some of the packages already have this, and others don't. They should.

The GMax Ac Mirage 2000 family is no longer available.
And it seems it is the end and they will be no longer
available.

1.
The GMax team is very ( very / very ) very sensitive even
to constructive critics like asking answers and CFG File options
about the Kangooroo syndrome of their single seaters.

2.
It seems also they consider these kind of questions as insults and
personnal attacks because THEY ARE DOING FREEWARES.

3.
To top the situation, It seems they also have been attacked
by hackers, pirates of their FS aircrafts and people using
accellerated download machines that blocked their website.

4..
Their solution ?

They have decided to SHUT OFF their entire operation and
to transform themselves in a SECRET SOCIETY having fun
within their own group of inconditionnals admirators.

4.
With my experience of FS2002, FS2004, FsX and of French
people ..... ( I live there two monts a year each year and very
happy to do it ) ..... It is my personnal understanding that the
French FS FREEWARE community is an untouchable sectary religion
in France and that nobody can do or say anything about it without
being put on a "guillotine".

( the thing that cut heads of their own royal family during the
French revolution )

This was my FS Editorial of the month.

Hi,

The GMax team is very ( very / very ) very sensitive even
to constructive critics like asking answers and CFG File options
about the Kangooroo syndrome of their single seaters.

They can find pils in any drugstore for cure this disease ! even in France "a la pharmacie du coin" :) )

From their forum (Google translation)

Hello to all

Following mails of insults, some posts on other forums, the problems encountered on the site, a "fed up" generally settled in the team

We will therefore return to our original concept
The site was more that we added later to try to put the work of members in value. When he did not run more than 20 seconds between the display of the page and download, I doubt that the page is viewed. Those who are interested only in the download have the wrong address

The following changes will be made as early as this weekend

The downloads are permanently disabled
We will be releasing more models from our members, but nothing prevents you from them available on other sites
The site will be minimized
The forum will be reserved only for modeling
Any member who has not appeared within a week or inactive for over 6 months will be removed
A household is also in the messages

Regards
Philippe

Rarely do I criticize freeware authors, but this is THE most childish thing I have ever heard..... Talk about thin skin, LOLOLOLOLOLOL.
