GMAX Academy downloads deactivated for long time
I just logged on to the GMAX academy website, and right on the main page, top right hand corner, it states that that downloads will be deactivated for some time. The reason given is that the site has been attacked which as caused the website and forum to be blocked. There is no date given when the downloads will be accessible again. Avsim, SOH, and now GMAX academy, what the
do these pinheads attackers/hackers have against flight sim websites anyway?

Strange. You can get to their site if you're using Firefox, but there are no downloads.
If you use IE you're redirected to Microsoft France.

I think it was intended to be a joke, dhazelgrove... I wouldn't take it to heart. Suffice to say I too, am a bit frustrated with the whole mess... nothing against the GMax Academy folks personally but it is a mess... nonetheless.

I agree. The words "Out of order" were your own.
What should have been a good couple months for the Mirage just aren't working out.
First this FS2004 series from GMAX Académie not all being available and now the FSX
version by Rollus13 having similar availability issues. Quel dommage.

As the others have indicated, when news of a new Mirage pops up one has a moment of elation.
Momentary, in most cases here, because it really has been a rocky road.
I do love these planes, and when their delivery crashes and burns (yet again), I am given to barbed humour.
I suppose GA have their reasons for all this.

I do understand your frustration. but mine is big too.
I did these models during hours, for me and for my friends, and, if they have an interest, for other virtual pilots.
My pleasure is not to keep them somewhere, in an hidden place.
I was quite shocked to discover that we were attacked like this. Philippe (Philou) is alone to manage the website, and fortunatly he knows how to react.
More than that we do pay every month for this site, in order to have a stable and quite independant platform. The traffic generated with the 2000 was quite big but acceptable.
Philippe is looking for the second release for the 2000 project, and to be honnest with you, I'm really frustrated about that.
I'm just sad about all the messages we received with insults and other "non educated" formulation.
I reduced my production during the past weeks, a big lack of motivation for me...
it was just to let you know.

I am sorry to read that some people have been venting their frustration against you and your colleagues. I too want to be able to download your excellent Mirages. but I understand that the only people at fault are those idiots who hack into Flightsim sites and destroy the hard work of others, if I met any of them my hounds would show them the error of their ways. Please don't be discouraged, many people are cheering you on. I hope your site is mended soon.

Basically we know that 99% are nice people.
The guys who did this were just impatient and unfortunatly their "requests" turned the server down...(let's be educated)
we didn't give the access again for some technical reasons (we had troubles with our provider too) and for some other points (as we are a little tired to spend so much time to protect ourselves, or to manage non educated people...).
I'm not in charge of the webpages, I'm not competent for that, Philippe did a great job managing everything alone.
It's just too bad that some people, as spoiled children, do this without respect for others.
But we are not leaving in the "Care Bears" world... so that's a fact.
so why spending so much time with this.
I don't want you to think that we react like this just to stress others. I wish the files will be back soon, and I hope that you will have pleasure to fly with the planes.
My passions are planes and 3D, if people wants to join me that cool, if not, there are so many places in order to avoid any contact...

And i do know, especially the moddeling takes a lot of time.....
For me i'll wait with patience for the new download.....
Also a question...is it right that there will be a 3d pit for the Chasse and 5F model....?
I also like to inform you that i am working on a Mirage HUD...with more realistic look and working symbols...

Well, I just download the Export version without any
problems using Firefox.
Just made a flight over the Qatar peninsula with "QA94"
of the Qatar Air Force.
Export version cover all foreing air arms operating the
"2000" with a lot of configuration options.
Superb job from GMax Academy team !

file permitting to have the GPS SimIcon working.
