  • Special Server Maintenance

    Just when you think you have everything running some what better...

    You get a message from the Hosting company. Short story they need to move us to a new server. I have been working with them to plan a good date for all concerned. Here is what we have come up with as a schedule.

    1. November 4th 17:00 -5UTC shut off the forums and start backup proceedures. During this time there will be no access to the forums or the Resource Section.
    2. November 5th Continue with Backups and download same until complete.
    3. November 6th 7:00 turn over server to hosting company to move system to new server
    4. November 7th - 8th restore backups and upgrade forum software.

    If all goes well we should be back online on November 8th.

    To keep you updated we will post updates on AVSIM forums.

Grumman Avenger by ORBX

something weird: Only one of my repaints shows up in the sim, although I have three in the Community folder, ànd the Orbx model itself is also not there (in the sim I mean).
I am stumped. If I remove the one that shows, one other will show up, but only one. Anobody have any idea what culd be causing this?
BTW, I uploaded #110 on fs.2, try for yourself if it happens with you as well...

I tried to see if I could do any other paintscheme for the Avenger (3-tone, Atlantic, early war) but alas the tailplanes are inverted, not mirrored:

so the white one is blue at the bottom.
So sorry guys, not going to happen, unless orbx come with an update. SIGH....so stupid
 
I have recently bought the Avenger. I find that in external view on take off or cruise the engine sound remains in idle ? i can see on some other threads that this is a known issue in 2024 but its happening (for me anyway) in 2020 as well. Anyone had this or even better have a solution please ?
 
Jankees, I wonder if Randall's mod will fix any texture mirroring down the track. Hopefully he gets it underway soon.
