Hawker Sea Fury

:wavey:

It is great to see that some of these old fs2004 birds are still being updated for FS2004. I'm really looking forward to this update, as I'll be running FS2004 for a long time to come.

Tommy

Me too Tommy, and this addon is a real gem! I think I like the Reno racer version best.

I have jus found an article in regards to a new zealand based Hawker sea fury. Does anybody know if a paint was done for this model?

I have a whole nest full of Sea Fury FB.11's (repainted model by Dave Hanvey and Paul Barry). I also have the T.Mk20 but don't fly her much :)redf:).. The tail wheel doesn't retract for some reason. It does on the real plane, which I have witnessed in the real world. These new updates wil be warmly welcomed... new life for a grand ol' bird.

The tail wheel did not retract on the British Sea Fury trainer so the model is correct. Iraqi trainers had one that retracted though. As most of the surviving Sea Furies come from the Iraq batch, its pretty likely that you saw this version.

You are both correct. :costumes:

Best wishes

Mustang51, Dogknot was more fast than I, sorry... ;) Well, you can find a lot of repaint for this by John Terrell, probably the best for this model...

Well, I made a lot of modifications to this plane, who is one of my favorites, but I dont take time to note everything and now it's a few confuse :costumes:

I if (when I...) have time, one day, I put here my panel modifications (I have since a long time autorisations by Lobo Da Silva, Papy Vader - for the grounds - and Robert Sanderson for use his gauges...), but for now... I never have :banghead: I have actually 3 versions of panel : 1 for war model, 1 for civilian model and 1 for Reno racers model... I modified some details (colors) of VC panel too, and use same new gauges (lot of Robert Sanderson's Hurricane, and a few MAPE british gauges)...

For sounds, you ave a new sound pack here in SOH for the bristol versions ; for the Wright Cyclone versions, you can use the sound of the Skyraider by Rene Spaan you can find to avsim...

I use for a long time too the propblade from BananaBob (so thank), and use too some details textures of Yago's great repaints, like the centaurus.bmp (or engine.bmp, depend of versions), or Miss Merced (sfrel7.zip) for the Engline Cyclone look...

I use for a long time the flame and wingtip effects of Miss Merced, and a colors fun pack to use with G-Fury version, but don't remember where I found, it existed a lot of, LOL I'm not a organized man...

Maybe sometime a made a pack...

I have loads of Sea Fury repaints if you want them, even a Marineluchtvaartdienst "Demo" repaint as well as a Sea Fury float model, email me if you want them.

Regards Paul Day.

Well Cees, and as say Dogknot, you can find mine here :
http://www.sim-outhouse.com/index.php?lloc=downloads&loc=downloads&page=downloads&FileUploadName=Robert%20MORANE-SAULNIER

I made the repaints of Sander's September Pops and September Fury, if you like Reno Racers...
For the Yago's Argonaut, not easy to find, not sure you can find it on Flightsim, avsim or simaviation. Somtime, I can up the file to you, but not now, I'm on hollidays not at home...

Next repaint projects for the Sea Fury : the green one of Howard Pardue, a new Cuban model in blue camo and the modification of Bomber_12th's Southern Cross in N71GB "Sawbones" (just the noze to repaint I think)...

Thank you - I thought that might be it. As it started life as Colossus, it will double for Ocean, Glory etc.

Have been looking for those Sea Furys, sfrel4.zip, sfrel6.zip, and sfrel7.zip here and other places without any luck. Where are they at?
Thanks
Bob

Hi

Well I am still around, although retired! Dave H continues to produce models (in his own time) and he and I keep in regular contact.

Anyway, to the point of this post.......:applause: I am both very delighted and very suprised at the continuing interest in the Sea Fury that Dave and I (with great help from Gerry on the FM) produced.

I know that Dave did a bit more work on the SF after the releases. Also I have various 'bits and pieces' re modified Sea Furies that Dave and I worked on.

BTW, everything is for FS9........:mixedsmi:

So, I will see how this thread develops, then perhaps I (with the agreement and major contribution from Dave) can release something 'newish' - but 'basic' - here at SOH?

I just need to get the enthusiasm going again!!!!:isadizzy:

Best Wishes

Paul
