Hawker Sea Fury

I flew the old gal quite a bit yesterday...she has some damn fine curves on her...always got my attention!!!:ernae:

these sea furies are among the first planes i play with every reinstall of FS9 . absolutely great representations of one of my all time favorite warbird ( right after the bearcat and FW-190 ) .

Paul, that would be amazing......... Did everybody read the above message from Paul........ Bring on the enthusiasm people!!!!!!

Oooohh yes! and hopefully for the FS9'ers too. My default flight features this magnificent beast in Royal Australian Navy livery, sitting with engine off and wings folded on the GA ramp at Townsville Airport, Queensland Australia. No lack of enthusiasm here... I have various racers and demonstrator paints for the FB.11 model, as well as Dutch, British, Canadian and Cuban skins too...:ernae:

These guys here are all enthusiastic enough. Can we get you enthusiastic enough to abandon retirement?

Hi Chaps

Thanks! There is lots of enthusiasm here! :icon_lol:

But I dont want to raise expectations too high. Let me just see what I have on the HD for now and let me have a chat with Dave.

Best wishes

Paul

Awesome Paul!
There are loads of "Fury-Fanatics" out here ... just overflowing with 'enthusiasm' at the thought of some hidden treasures you have stashed away on your HD. My passion goes back to the age of 6...was given 2 Dinky Toys , a Lockheed F-80 Shooting Star and the Sea Fury ...now how's that for 'enthusiasm...eh? In others words Paul, we would all appreciate anything extra on the Sea Fury that you would be willing to share..

Well guys, you know we have a Sea Fury in France now ? It was the one who was based one South Africa (361 Zu-Wow, I made the repaint of), property of Stu Davidson and now his owner is a Air France pilot, who's based in Avignon...

I had the luck to see the bird fly at Annemasse (in France, next Geneva) in juliet and it's a wonderful bird... It's a Wright Cyclone version, with a Four Blade prop. So nice and so powerfull (2800 HP)...

And I know another is coming to France soon, bought by Christophe Jacquard, a french warbirds pilot, who have for now 2 birds : 1 Spit MkXIX with contra-prop (older of Chino's Plane of fame), and in a few time, a FW190 rebuild... (He sold is Corsair to POF to build it)...

Miam... :kilroy:

Hi

Well I am still around, although retired! Dave H continues to produce models (in his own time) and he and I keep in regular contact.

Anyway, to the point of this post.......:applause: I am both very delighted and very suprised at the continuing interest in the Sea Fury that Dave and I (with great help from Gerry on the FM) produced.

I know that Dave did a bit more work on the SF after the releases. Also I have various 'bits and pieces' re modified Sea Furies that Dave and I worked on.

BTW, everything is for FS9........:mixedsmi:

So, I will see how this thread develops, then perhaps I (with the agreement and major contribution from Dave) can release something 'newish' - but 'basic' - here at SOH?

I just need to get the enthusiasm going again!!!!:isadizzy:

Best Wishes

Paul

Great news, Paul ! Your Sea Fury is still in my FS9 hangar and given flight time! Any update would be a welcome addition!

YOu have my full support for any updates on the Sea Furies, Paul. One of my all time favorites! :ernae::applause::ernae:

Enthousiasm, and above all a HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL OF YOU!!!

Terry......how did you get all those Sea Furys parked there plus the other aircraft? Are they AI type? Often thought it would be nice to have all my warbirds parked on a ramp like at an airshow.

They are flyable aircraft used as AI, there are no AI Furys that I can find. You can do the airshow ramp like you suggest but you need to use AI models so that your frame rate holds up.
