Horton HO 229 jet fighter for CFS2 released by Allen!

Just took it for a quick test drive, everything showing up fine, gauges and weapons. Takes time for her to spool up, I like that :)

Think those are Kazunori Ito's that we can't convert to CFS2 as Kazunori Ito dosen't want any his/her models converted to CFS2.

We do'nt need any stuff from cfs3, as long as we have you around Allen, I started the engines (took a while)
and flow it,turned around and destroyed some off my own buildings, using the cannons and finally landed again, fantastic plane, thank you very much

Some ideas to improve the ho229a

I made some adjustments to the aircraft config and damage profile. For the cannons... I changed the trigger to the gun trigger.

For the aircraft config... i reduced the nose wheel steering radius to 60 degrees.

Hope that helps.

could you post the changes

Engine data is from Mksystem Me262. I used it engines as it says the plane works well as an AI. I have vary bad luck with jet engines and CFS2 with the AI. The spool up time to get the engines started is long.

Will fix the DP.

Hi All,
In the aircraft config. file change the number of contact points from 9 to 5.
This will keep the AC from not destructing when you crash.

Regards,
B24Guy

Please pass me the dunce cap.... Forgot the scrap points. Add these in and you can belly land.

Ok, I'm trying to follow what you guys are saying, but not sure on this point. Changed number of points from 9 to 5. Those lines you mentioned Allen, they are in the config already under the nose section and are commented out, do I just remove the / from in front of those lines?

Hi Eddie,
It looks like Allen has changed some of the contact points.
If you copy and paste the data from Allen's post removing the backslash's, leave the number of contact points at 9.

Hope this helps,
B24Guy

The idea of true night fighter is dead. The model won't work as 2 seater with out changing up the whole nose. I'll keep the texture as it looks nice.

Can't be bare metal aircraft as the Ho229 was mostly wooden skinned.

Test version. Can some one check it out??????
Thank you Allen, and the rest of the crew here for the CFS2 conversion and all the tweaks.
This Horton is a very nice airplane. It seems to handle like the gliders it was developed from.
Porting to FS9, the airplane had some pitch problems that were improved by relocating the
CG location, and re-calculated the MOI values. If anyone wants to take a look at these changes,
I'll be happy to post them.

I like all the paints that have been done so far, including the grey one. I'd like to try some
"what if" markings.

Once again, thank you.
