Pushed the pilot forward a bit and made the front tire smaller so I could get the guy in the back. Only the main LOD done so no change done to the interior or lower LODs.

I have to ask Allen, really don't know much about the Horton. But you have it set up to carry 2 1000 kg bombs. Could the air frame have handled that much weight?

I'm not sure if it could take 2000 kg total but MS loaded it that way in CFS3 so I did the same.

Allen,

Very nice job. This is exactly how we got the original Ju-88 set for CFS2 many moons ago! :encouragement:

Please post them and any others

Thank you Allen, and the rest of the crew here for the CFS2 conversion and all the tweaks.
This Horton is a very nice airplane. It seems to handle like the gliders it was developed from.
Porting to FS9, the airplane had some pitch problems that were improved by relocating the
CG location, and re-calculated the MOI values. If anyone wants to take a look at these changes,
I'll be happy to post them.

I like all the paints that have been done so far, including the grey one. I'd like to try some
"what if" markings.

Once again, thank you.
Please post any changes and dp files that might have some rockets in them. Thanks:biggrin-new:

Great Job Young Man,
Be sure to check out Allen's other great programs
and projects in one easy to find location.

Had no idea anyone had ripped models from CFS3 before.

FS04 and CFS2 behave the same way. Things have to be reworked for FS04 so change made for FS04 really don't translate back too well. Also FS04 dosen't use a DP. DP is CFS1 and CFS2 only.

No Dice
Thanks for the shout out

2 Seater takes flight! Still some work to be done on the VC/interior as I forgot to put some sort of panel thing behind the pilot seat.

MS gave us the P-47-25 and Ju-88 as gMax files. The Ho 229 and B-26 I made are game rips done with 3D Ripper DX.

3D Ripper DX hooks into the game's DirectX and try to save what you see on screen once you push the capture key. Models are warped out of shape but you can use a tire that should be round as away to unwarp and the plane's dimensions are know so they can help should you not be able to do the unwarping with a tire.

The texture are there and you need to rename the .bmps to get the texture you want. Adding repaints in the .cfg count against the 100 plane cap so I did not do that.

Hiya Allen,

I am having an issue with the Winter skin. I renamed the texture files

Winter go_229a_D.bmp
-> go_229a_D.bmp and

Winter go_229a_t.bmp -> go_229a_t.bmp
.

However, no matter what I do when I load up the AC the only texture showing in the beginning of FF is the damaged skin.

I have flip flopped the texture names, deleted the cdp and still I get only the damaged skin showing.

I took a little closer look at the two texture as they appear right out of the box. It appears that they may also be flip flopped.

The D skin is un-damaged and the t skin is the damaged skin.

Cheers,
MR

Crap... The Winter go_229a_t.bmp has the damage alpha layer by mistake... I just updated the download to fix that.

If you have DXTBmp.exe you can open the Winter go_229a_t.bmp with it and go to Alpha > Create Alpha Channel (Green). Okay on the box. Now the alpha layer is done and go to File > Save and save it.
