Iris F-16D Released

My computer is a horrible benchmark for people to compare their system too since I upgraded. I tend to run most sims very well, especially ones that others tend to have major issues with like the Bush Hawk or the F1 Mustang. I attribute that to the CPU. My world isn't perfect with FSX mind you, but the single biggest bottleneck in FS is the CPU.

I wouldn't recommend anyone take my advise regarding FPS performance unless they have a similar system as mine... and even then. I also don't want anyone to spend a bunch of money as if I was giving advice. I don't want anyone waiting for me outside in a dark shadow with a knife...
 
Oh, might I also recommend turning off the FPS lock? Set it to unlimited. Some claim it changes some things in the sim and can degrade performance elsewhere, however, in the 2 and a half years I have been doing this I have not found it to be true. In all circumstances, with FPS unlocked and set to unlimited, I have increased FPS significantly with no other side effect.
 
This is my "IMHO" opinion. Yago. . .you are a strange dude, no doubt. You are also an amazing artist and I have to respect that. You pull off work that is just beyond comparison. . .good for you.

I don't like your attitude though, pure and simple. There is such a thing as decorum, common sense and respect for others, whose work is the backbone of this Sim we enjoy so much. I don't agree also with your "I paid my dues", "I can say what I want" reference. . .it simply shows a lack of respect.

It obviously doesn't bother David or Triple-Six and so I'm not sure why it should bother me. It just does.

I think the direction this thread took in the last few pages could be better served in another thread, that's my opinion and whatever it was you said in response to my post (kinda hard to decipher) really matters very little.
You are who you are Yago. . .good, bad or otherwise. Just understand that others have opinions as well, and they count to, even if they don't agree with yours.

This is a very weird issue. I have noticed that with this F-16 and the F-14, it isn't really the HUD or MFD's that hit me. It seems to be the afterburner and movement. When I am sitting still on the runway with HUD and MFD's and everything on, I am getting 38 FPS solid. it is when I hit the throttle and start moving that the framerate decreases. I have never seen this before besides in these two planes. Even so, it is a great plane and I would never even think of chopping it up and using someone elses VC in it. That would be disrespectful right?

Wrong!!! No one here is "bashing" anyone's work; just stating their experience with the PAYWARE product that they've purchased; Good or Bad, and they SHOULD be allowed to express it.

I've read these posts and, IMHO, its turning into Y.et A.nother P.ointless D.iscussion (YAPD).

The fact is Mr. Lucian "Yago9" wants it to work in his system and the Aerosoft VC works better is NOT an attack, etc.; so let him...

Mr. Cody B. has also mentioned (in a fair amount of detail) the reasons WHY users may want to choose to use the Aerosoft VC vs. the Iris ONE (because of the needs for CPU power as one e.g.) which many users system CAN'T handle. And, this is good information for buyers to hear, learn, and become a little more educated on the product that they are investing in. So, let him...

And, for God's sake, let me make a request for having my Aerosoft VC in the IRIS Model; if I want it... How exactly does that hurt anyone...?
I even want to try the IRIS' gauges in the Aerosoft VC in the IRIS Exterior model. And since I'm paying for these products, I should be allowed to do it without hurting anyones sensibilities. Its NOT disrespect, its preference.

Gents, let everyone here have a chance to suit their own preferences, once in a while.

I am perfectly fine if he does it on his own pc. I am not however fine with him posting it right in front of the dev's nose for others to see. But to each his own.

No. I don't buy addons out of respect for a developer. I buy addons because I want to enjoy them in the sim. If, to get the maximum potential out of an addon, I have to make some modifications, then I shall do so.

What next? People taking issue every time somebody posted a config entry so you could use the Shockwave 3D lights on somebody else's aircraft?
 
Now about something completely different on the IRIS F-16D....

Did you already try the magnificent bombing option with the GBU-12's

It's actually working excellent. Currently flying a CAS mission, and the only thing missing is a situation on the ground (animated or static) and a JTAC on the radio. Nice touch on the bombs, IRIS/666!:medals: :ernae:

it is only in my computer but why not talking about it ..? Were are talking about all kind off swaps all the time..burners,effects, HUD gauges,prop files ..u name it..Do you have the Acceleration pack ? The F117 shares the VC with the F18 ..I did,t tell you exactlly how to do it ,nor did I posted shots ...Can I get my money back ? no ..so live with it..If I want to scratch my car with a nail I can do it cause it,s mine and I paid for it..And I can tell you over the net how I did it..Are u gonna say it,s offensive to Ford ? Better one, after market rims..Offensive to Ford CEO or share holders ?? Come one man..

Good point there.

I modify like....all my aircraft.

Even the excellent L-39 has an alternate air file ready in case i don't want to do it all realistic for a while and just want to fly like crazy.:bump:

With Regard to the IRIS F-16D VC swap issue....

I tried searching using SOH google engine for VC Swaps, Swap Virtual Cockpit in FSX, and several other variations; NO luck finding the POST...

Can any one kindly direct me? (Mr. Lucian "Yago9", Mr. Warrant, etc.)

I want to do this to a couple of other aircraft including the CLS F-117 VC instead of CS' use of Acceleration Hornets F/A-18 one, as another example.

I know the new soundpack is included in this plane but I was wondering if I can transfer that sound pack to a different plane or will I have to buy the seperate pack for a different plane?
 
Guys... I'll write more when I get a chance to 'compose' myself. In the meantime the issue that is formost in front of my mind and something which NEEDS to be brought to certain peoples attention is this.

If you go and remove content from the IRIS F-16 to replace it with content from another developer you ARE breaching your End User Licence Agreement, and in doing so you will forfit any support for the IRIS F-16D product by us.

We have a hard enough time troubleshooting the wide variety of FSX installations to find causes to issues without having to deal with taking into account a chopped up product.

That is a very good point for all users to be aware of.

However, does this apply to older products of yours; like the E.A.P. or F-15E lite (which have had several issues outstanding) that we can ONLY hope for fixes with a completely new product version and, according you current policy, would also require a completely new purchase?

PROBLEM SOLVED!

If everyone could head over to the IRIS Pro Series F-16D Fighting Falcon section of the Iris forums, you'll find a fix in there.

It has DRASTICALLY improved performance for me, no more lagging at all. I'm basing this on flights over Edwards AFB with all scenery settings on full.
