Glad you like them, the screenies are all work in progress shots and I've bin adding bits and altering bits on all of them for release. As for the polar scheme i'm currently playing with I have got conflicting info on whether it should be bare metal or white, so I have painted it white, so it differs from the first polar scheme.
 
Hi Steve,

The book "Ilyushin IL-12 and IL-14 - Successors to the Li-2" by Y. Gordon and D. Komissarov (Red Star Vol. 22, Midland/Ian Allan, ISBN 1-85780-223-3, 2005) features on page 73 a b/w photo of a Polar Il-14P. The captian says: "pictured here in pre-1973 silver/red Polar colours". The livery is basically the same as featured on your first two screenies. There is no mention of a combination of this livery with a white top, so I would say that your silver/red liveries are the correct ones for that period.
From 1973 on the Polar livery was based on the early 70's Aeroflot livery, similar to the Polar An-12 livery.

Heres one that is now a cafe in a Swiss airport. the FLA-1146 where the markings carried for it's delivery flight.
