Joe Binka's "Wilga" Repaints

It would be cool to see a more "modern" Wilga model, note the cowling, airframe and prop mods as well as the FLIR pod operated by the Polish Border Guard.

Cheers! Mike :rapture:

I rarely, if ever post my stuff anymore. I do scenery, panels, repaints and I keep it all to myself. Folks like what they like and trying to force-feed enthusiasm isn't worth worrying about really. Your repaints are awesome, especially given you're relatively new to repainting, but I don't like the airplane, so I won't download them. . .I can still appreciate the work it takes.:applause:

I'm beginning to see what you mean.

Quite awhile back I was into painting cars and mods for racing & driving games. The response within the forums then were inspiring. For me, it was the drive I needed to stay active so I could continue painting.

Something to think about..

Thanks Falcon

Yep,
Praise will come sometimes in bucketloads here. . .other times you won't get a single comment. If it's something folks are interested in, they may jump in and say so, others may like it but just don't care about commenting, they just wait for it to be posted, grab it and go on. Most of the faithful here are good folks, but there's no rhyme or reason to how or when comments are posted. I posted repaints of an MU-2 version I was working on once in a thread that had several other repaints posted as well. . .it went on for 3 or 4 pages and never mentioned my work, it was as if I had never posted a thing, lol.

This thread has actually reaped some good comments about your work and rightly so. The fact that the downloads far exceed the good comments isn't surprising. . .it's just part of the game. Keep up the good work!!:applause:

yeah i told him "sometimes no gomments is a good thing as people aren't being nit-picky about it"... other times they comment to say thanks and good work but often than not its helpful suggestions... good on yer Oleboy glad to see what i've taught you being put to use :ernae:

I had to take a break and load it up in the sim. Should be done soonish.

OleBoy, your paints have me flying the 'ol Wilga again, arm 'n all!

TaTa for now. ( now that would be weird if just those stayed in the plane).

I deleted the shots I uploaded here. (fish-eyed) and took others to better display it.

heh, no comment on the [LINESTRIKE]expert[/LINESTRIKE]. Talk about a toss the PC out the window scheme. This one had me fit to be tied that's for sure. But, I guess that's how I have to learn...lol.

Wonderful work. Love the shine and detail on it. Cool layout. Thank you for your hard work.

Ed

Thanks Ed

oleboy, way to i think remove the arm, give it a completely black alpha channel....

Smoothie

Oh yeah. I forgot about trying that. I tried to turn that arm into the authorities, but the passenger had a must have had a good scare. The hand is clenched to the handle so tightly I can get it off.......rigomortus maybe?...lol
