Just finished a new 2D panel for the Storch..

Hi, i tried and seems only way to avoid of "spilled" paint issues is to shrink RESCUE till observers back, were U stands and also make it a bit lower. You can do that, leave it like it is, or just abandon it, though it would be sad after all time and labour you done with it, perhaps if you dont wish to continue, you could send what you done so far, so that i could try to make it myself?

I did.. and took part of it out

There is still some yellow showing on the roots of the tail planes... can't figure out what from... re-dimensioned the yellow banner and it almost got it off the edge
of the rear cockpit edge... when one opens the second cabin.. the black and yellow goes up with it... have to find out where the greenhouse cover is mapped...

Now the other enigma... the wing tip floats... where are they mapped?????....
and still have to get the under surfaces of the top wing mapping and upper surface of the lower wings figured out...

It may come out Ok after all.... I'll keep on trying...

Well, starting to see light at the end of the tunnel...

got the wings under control now...
... as to the wing tip floats enigma... still have not figured out where they are mapped....

Hi, im afraid but seems wingtip floats are on "float 2.bmp" texture shared with main float. I mottled all textures with different colour squares and seems there's even more shared textures in weirdest places. Im very sorry that my demand wasted so much of your time, but i think this paint should be abandoned

I think so too....

Like I said before... the guy must have been smoking something when he mapped the
bird... lol

I always maintain... do something... do it slow... do it right... folks in a
hurry to be the FIRST to "publish" something... do sometimes irreparable damage in
terms of further work.... You see, I practiced anesthesia for more than 2 decades...
a job that requires "planning" ... it is easier to avoid trouble than get out of it.... lol

I will continue to play with this just to see where it takes me... but no priority in it...
just the fun of investigating possibilities...
Cheers,
G.

I think Duck was Swingman's first plane for FS and really not bad for first one, sadly seems he's now jumped to the dark side

what is this dark side?

I think Duck was Swingman's first plane for FS and really not bad for first one, sadly seems he's now jumped to the dark side

I am not familiar with this expression... what do you mean by the "dark side"?
like something bad?

G.

Oh.. OK... pardon my ignorance... lol

In this context The Dark Side is Flight Simulator X

I like FSX... my gosh... I hope he does better mapping there...
I still am not to conversant with those bump maps... have not really done many repaints for FSX

That is true.Alexander(Swingman)is a good friend of mine,we talk often(and not just about FS).He is strictly designing for FSX now.If I'm correct his first FS bird was the Yak-18 for FS9,one of my favorites!:applause:

Haven't seen any panels for the F-104 lately....

Decided to start a panel for the F-104... there are not to many around for it...

Just added a panel for a USN Skyraider

Fished a line drawing from my archives when I saw the new Skyraider posted... and finished an old project I
had abandoned a long time ago... Here's the result...
This one, of course, would not be for the guppy version.. but rather the attack version... single seat...

available... with or without control handle....

Finally safely arrived in Germany!

After a less than optimal flight... I am in Germany... Schweinfurt to be exact...
Have not gotten totally set... for some reason I am fighting with hotmail keeping me off my email...
Otherwise... pretty much OK... at least I can get into the SOH...
As soon as I get over the jet lag... I will be able to dedicate some time to our hobby...

Cheers all,

G.

Liore et Olivier 45 panel

Hallo,

I did see the nice and interesting pictures for the Liore et Olivier 45 panel.
I can you please tell me if the panel is somewhere to download ?
I' m also interested about all the french aircraft panels out of this era.
If I only can get pictures to make the panels my self I would still be glad.
