Hey CF,

Redownload the package. There is no 'small update' available for it as it has too many updates throughout the package, from models to gauges to airfiles.

If you have the old one (you have the new one), then you would have to delete it. But if you have Build 2.0, you do not have to delete it. Just make sure you run the installer and let it over-write the existing files. If you manually install, make sure you overwrite the files.

Here are a couple of screenshots from the latest edition of the manual, (new version came out last night).

Software used for creation of the manual is Mac iWork 09; Pages. Brilliant program.

Side note on the Kodiaks latest build; When you boot up the aircraft now in Flight Simulator, the MFD (center screen) will automatically be in Sleep Mode. Simply hit the MAP menu button to 'wake it up'. This will put it in 'Heading Up' mode. Click MAP again and you are now in North Up view mode on the map. Click again to return to sleep mode.

I'll tell ya Bill, you have a real gem here!

When I 1st started flying FS I was almost exclusively a bush flyer. Over the years I have kinda migrated from that. This plane has singlehandedly recaptured my interest in it.

It is an all around joy to fly, from visiting seaplane bases to shooting CAT III approaches to dusty bush strips at dawn. It is a delight to fly!

I do have one little niggle hopefully you can help me with. I appreciate the recent update but I liked the old gauges & night lighting better. I attempted to just use the old gauges on the new model but then the engines wont start.

Can you save me the time of reverse engineering it on what I have to do to get the old gauges & night lighting with the new flight performance?

Many thanks!

Hey Boomer,

I see what you are saying. I am on it as fast as I can. I should have a fix tomorrow.

Lightmaps and gauge positioning werent tampered with, but it seems a lightmap was installed 'in' the gauges. I wasnt aware of this and didnt even know it was possible. I'll see about getting this repaired ASAP.

Bill

Hey Boomer,

I found the issues, have corrected them, and will be creating an updater this afternoon and will give you the link as soon as its up. I will also be redoing all installers for all vendors, so they will all be up to speed. I decided to call this an update instead of a fix or supplement. This is now Build 2.2.

Things tuned are;
* Gauges
* Panel/gauge lightmaps textures
* Panel config files

I'll make the announcement as soon as its up and ready.

i noticed something, not a big deal or anything, i am just curious:

of course the 2-d panel and the vc panel are not laid out the same.
where is the nav/gps switch on the 2-d panel?

where is the nav/gps switch on the 2-d panel?

Hey! Good eye CF!

Actually, its now located on the Garmin PFD screen, bottom center menu button labeled CDI/NAV and CDI/GPS.

The secondary switch (original one) is now redundent but still in the VC. (Shading and all in the graphics says 'it stays' ). :d

I tried to upload a picture of the manual that shows how it works, but photo uploads appears to be down presently.

Heads up for all Kodiak pilots.

Update 2.2 is now out. This repaired some issues with the last update that crept into the batch. (Experimental self illuminating gauges). Also some tunes to textures were done, gauge updates to the screens, tidbits here and there.

Note, if you have Flight1 keys, and they no longer work, simply go to the Flight1 website here;
https://www.flight1.com/view.asp?page=keyrequest
and request a new key or reactivating your key.

For people that have version 1 from years ago, email me and I will create the newest key for Build 2.2. My email is william 'at' lionheartcreations 'dot' com. I will need your full name, and your purchase number. If you no longer have your purchase order, go to Service at Flight1.com and look up your order numbers, find the Kodiak, and copy/paste that to me.

SimMarket do not have the new build up yet, and PC Aviator does not have it online yet.

I'm going thru a horror show! I purchase the Kodiak thru my daughter using her paypal account. I'm loving the aircraft. Now I can't get updates. I'm using her e-mail account and the inv. #.....not working!!! Any suggestions?

Dick

Thanks Lionhearth....I got it.

This is the aircraft for me right now. Loving it!!

P.S. This is my first addon from Lionhearth and it may be the last.

Bill i just downloaded the update today
how do i know what version i just downloaded
H

Hello H,

Go to the Kodiak aircraft folder, open up the aircraft config file, and check up at the top. It will say the Build series on the 3rd string down. Should say Build 2.2 presently.

Sidler, I hope all is running good. Sorry for the confusion. I'll see if PayLoadz can offer a link and better system for Gift Keys purchases and alignment of proper email addresses.
