Lockheed L-1649A Starliner, Version 2.0

I've yet to install the Starliner, but I've been having fun with that sound pack. Installed it into my favorite Super Connie and it does sound great!
 
Okay, installed the Starliner and added both paints for the prototype. Now if I could just find Air France and Lufthansa paints to go with the TWA.
 
Willy, there are 2 Air France repaints and 1 Air France/Japan Air Lines repaint plus one featuring a not delivered LAI Starliner on Avsim.com.

Yep, I keep getting mysterious subscriptions to threads I've never read. Hopefully, it's just a bug in the board the Ickie can find - or at least be fixed by the next update from vBulletin.

Some comments

Friedrch Trachsels sound set is recorded from the SCFA C-121 in real flight.So it is not only good but also correct.It was a big favour to us

Be aware that CH trottles have a little strange calibration.Do not go to 0% once shut off and also never 100%.On the Starliner this matters as many functions are triggered by throttle

If you are very good you can land it at 160.000 lbs but max landing weight is 123.000 lbs

She is a long plane and the manual requested the crew to run several simulations about the CG shift(once tanks are emptying).Once you load or unload her be carfull to leave the CG where it is

In long flights be aware that you have to shift tank levers

Plan your descent.She hardly decelerates in descend as she is so aerodynamically clean

If your gear doesnt work have a look to the hydraulic in the status panel you most probably lowered it at too high airspeed

Hi Thunder, once again thanks a lot for this great addonm I'm just loving it in FSX.
I don't have much to criticize for now. Just the points below:
- the crew voices are so cool (really, it's great for the immersion), but the VC is empty. Would be cool to see some 3D crew in it, just like the An-26 or the An-2 for example.
- The VC would need some photorealistic textures. The model is really great, very detailled, so it's just about a bit better textures, nothing critical.
- The airbrake lowers the main gear ? Maybe this is normal...
- the external model would need better texturing for the windshield windows. Again, not a critical point.

I had not enough time yet to really test the realism of this bird. I'm just so happy that it works so fine in FSX SP2. :jump:

Until 3D modeling in MSFS is good enough to model 'detailed humans', I for one prefer to have an empty flight deck, rather than some 'block headed monster' sitting alongside who does nothing to contribute to the flying :icon_lol::icon_lol:

Yep, I'm with you calypsos. I have seen a few crew members that were ok, but the majority are very scary and I'd just as soon not have the bejeebees scared out of me every time I look to the right, lol.:kilroy:

1.)People in VC

Since the Connie shape is very complex(no tube) it has many polygons-->hits the fram rate.We had to forget many of this ideas and manfred the boss and modeller is not so much in edgy 3D lady's

2.)Photo real cockpit-->remarked but may need long as we cannot take pictures we would need for VC ,as there are no planes arround till Lufthansahas rstored 3 of them to one

3.)Airbrake-->the mains

This is real on Starliner (or an DC7)

4.)Windshield windows-->remarked but it is not a full FSX model.But we will make one(full FSX) later!!-->dont ask
