"Wow", Mike said, as he drooled all over his keyboard...
Manuele, how many liveries are you thinking about doing for it?
-Mike

Manuele,

Whichprogram do you use? Gmax or FSDS?

:wavey:

Cees

Hi Cees,
I use GMax.

I have NO idea about the date I'll finish this project, but I think the package will be structured as following :

A) - Five (5) different versions (models):
- 1st Series, without sand filter, and short antenna mast.
- 3rd/4th Series, with sand and long antenna mast.
- 7th/12th Series, with wing 7.7 MGs.
- 7th/12th Series, without wing 7.7 MGs.
- 13th Series, without wing 7.7 MGs, with compensed elevator and radiogoniometer.

B) - Five or Six different liveries.

C) - Paintkit (maybe)......

Hi Friends,
I'm still finishing the new textures for the external model, how You can see in the screens the classic mid/late production Macchi's "smokerings" camouflage scheme is veeeery complicate.......
The external model is almost finished, it still needs some adjustments.....
I think I'll begin the VC after the summer holydays......

All I can say is WoW! Hope to be flying this masterpiece soon. Any thoughts of doing the 205 also?

T.

Hi Friends,
YES, the '205 will follow after the '202 release (during October/November, I hope )......

From the screenshots, there seems to be a shape issue on the Port Side Inner Landing Gear Door. The Front edge looks odd. Perhaps it is the angle of the screenshots?

Very Pretty Plane!

- Ivan.

Bravo Manuele. The Folgore is one of the most beautiful aircraft I know and you have catched her so well!

Huub

Great news about the 205. I'm looking forward to both of them.

Thanks for all of the hard work.

T.

What is it about Italians? Beautiful aircraft, beautiful cars, beautiful engines (Ferrari etc.)!!!! I remember seeing a Porsche 917 and a Ferrari 512 next to each other and the Ferrari looked like it was designed by an artist and the Porsche looked like it was put together with a pot of glue and rivets.......:icon_lol:

Engines we re-learned AFTER the war. While the war was in act, we were good designing planes maybe (though the ones that designed the Macchi 200 worked hard to deprive us of that consolation prize too... traitors), but it's hardly a secret that the engine tech had taken a nosedive ever since the end of the 20ies, and in fact the Macchi from 202 forward all used German engines. :d :italy:

Hi Friends,
These are some screenshots before the summer vacations......
I just finished the external base textures and the first livery for a 7th series mid production aircraft (Major Andrea Favini, 153rd Gruppo Autonomo CT's commander, M.M.9083, based at Sciacca during September 1942)......
The external model is almost finished, it needs only some retouches, I'll start with the VC when I'll back at office (September 12).

They might have looked scruffy (and the 917 was very scruffy indeed!) but the Porsches beat the Ferraris at almost every event they competed in.
IIRC the only 512 victory was posted in the hands of a 'privateer entrant', a certain Roger Penske at the Daytona 24 hour.

And BTW, Bravo Manuele.:applause:
